Hey guys,

Just after some advice on a wastegate. I'm chasing 270-300 rwkws and was looking at the

40mm HKS standard wastegate but was unsure on the spring set. Which one would i be after?

Which brings me to me last question. This wastegate mentions HP upwards of the 500 mark whereas the other gates from HKS mention GT

GT-ii state HP upwards of 1000HP but these are a larger mm. Is my 40mm choice correct or should i be going with one of the later choices?

there is a guide to work out what size you should be using, you should read it and understand before picking random models

i cant remember where the guide / info is sorry

i think the link your mentioning is http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=43638&st=0 so either I've chosen the wrong or right wastegate but in no way is it random

re-reading my old thread there.

I got the 3040 to 294 rwkw on 18psi through a 38mm gate so 40mm gate will be fine for your required power.

as for the spring requirements... that is dependant on the boost level you want to run as minimum , keeping it as close to the require boost level if you are using an EBC . ie use a 1.2Bar spring for 18 - 22 psi ... 1bar for 14 - 20 psi - keeping in mind that the further from teh spring rate you go the more possiblity for the ebc to have trouble maintaining constant boost levels.

:domokun: craved. Having done a little research on the setup I'll be running and what others have run I would assume my boost would be around the 18-22psi level. These are the different variations from the nengun site and I got no idea which one would be the 1.2 bar spring if there even is one..

help please??

You get the spring that best suits how much boost you are going to run. ie. the closest possible.

No point getting a 7psi spring if your running 20psi

Thanks r31Nismoid but what i don't understand is the different variations offered by nengun. Are none of these suitable for the amount of boost I'll be running? In that case I'll need to replace the spring with a larger rated spring no doubt? Where is the easiest place to source these??
