hey guys

i was wondering if anyone has a timing light they could use on my car to check what timing it is currently running? ive heard its a pretty easy job and if anyone is willing to help me out id be much appreciated.

Be carefull as the timing loop at the rear of the engine is not very

reliable. Ther best way is remove #1 coil and put a plug lead between the coil and plug and time it from there.

they upgraded the 10mm to a 12mm for undoing the cas nuts last week, timing adjustment for all..

the wacking ratchet is on back order tho, so there sticking to the house brick for now..

don't need a timing light if you make a few marks on the CAS. Simply retard and advance in small increments off the mark.

You can tap the cas into place or just un-do the bolts till the CAS rotates freely. Some tuners don't reccomend tapping the CAS but, will help you to lighten the load in your wallet alot better than the tuners that practice this habit occasionally:D

yeh ive been playing with it and using white-out to mark it. but i wanted to know where stock timing (15degrees) is on the CAS so ive got something to work from

Don't let it ping, hope you have good ears. Don't try going to far with the timing when testing on the road.

You should be able to run more than 15 degrees depending on what that Blitz rom pushes into your engine after boost is on.

I would be selling that thing and your 5knob sAFC and getting a standard ecu and starting from there..maybe a remap

And get your injectors cleaned like we discussed
