It appears the bosskit I bought is not HICAS compatible and the trial fit yesterday didn't go well at all.

I cannot find a suitable bosskit (justjap only have R33 ones for example, not R32), the two prongs (one has the horn wire attached to it) are directly opposite each other on the little slidey ring bit behind the stock boss, anyone know of a specific boss kit that will fit/work?

Just to muddy the water a bit for you. the r32 gtst boss changed between early and late as the steering angle sensor and indicator switch position changed. I think early has the key at about 45 degrees off vertical and the late has it vertical from memory.

Yeah I noticed that from another thread which is why I said the prongs on mine are directly opposite (i.e. 6 & 12 or whatever). Car is a '90 model if that helps.. really I'm looking for someone who has the same year/model and has bought a bosskit that fits so they can point me in the right direction :ermm:

C'mon, someone must have an aftermarket steering wheel with a HICAS boss kit on their R32?! If you have one with the keys directly opposite (not 45deg off like Dave mentioned), where did you get it? what brand and/or part number? Cheers!

I run an early model specific hkb in a late model gtst. With hicas locked it only effects the indicator stalk. I've been meaning to remove it and mod the boss for a while now as it looks like a pretty simple job, just a bit of sheet aluminium and a couple of self tappers will do it.

My horn stopped working too, so i really should get onto that before rego...

I got a generic boss kit with my wheel from GKTech, as far as I'm aware there's no difference between GTSt and GTR, only series 1 & 2 (not even sure that series 2 is the cutout for when it changed).

R33 one won't work will it?

Got a part number for the boss Dave? sounds like you have the one I need :)

Unfortunately the box for my boss is sitting in storage atm so it is a bit difficult for me to get it. I have to start carting stuff back down there shortly though so i can have a look then and see if there's anything written on the box.

How do you know your hkb kit is early r32gtst specific?

I mean do they have a late r32gtst kit.

The hkb ones on ebay for gtr and gtst are listed seperately.

It shows it on the box.

Yes, there is a late model specific one aswell.

I didn't consider the indicators and my hicas is locked so bought the early model one as it was on the shelf thinking it would make no difference.

I'm 90% sure the last HKB I bought for my GTST had holes for the prongs and 6 and 12 and at 4 and 10 or whatever the other position is. either way it would fit both early and late 32 GTSTs. I will see if I still have the box somewhere.

The hkb part no. for r32gtst on ebay is ON110

Does anyone know if this fits early or late or both?
