is this commen iv had 4 skylines and they all have done it

geting warter in boot and in back revers lights

anny help stoping this will be good willing to pay annyone in vic to come stop it for me ect

its pissing me off lol

My boot (well the side of the boot) used to always fill up with water. There would be at least 5ltrs of water!! I wasn't sure as to how it was getting in there, but I found out that there is a plug Nissan had put at the bottom to drain the water out. I just ripped it out and the problem is sort of solved. :)

Is the water actually in your boot or in the sides where the jack is?

To keep water out of your taillights, just reseal them up.

Theres a seal that goes around the lights at the rear that can get worn and cause water to get into the boot mine does it too :D you can get a new seal from Nissan to fix it or you can use silicon to seal it up if your on a budget

skyline tail lights are sealed usiong Sikaflex ..

there has been a couple fo threads about this, even one with a DIY with pics on how to remove lights and reseal and put back in..

what is your model? i had water leakage with R34 gtt

i found out that wing strut make that problem

so i changed strut to nismo and sealed with silkaflex all around the connection even on bolts

its been 3 month, no problem so far!

thank u so much guys yer its getting intothe boot a lil

and gear break light moist in them with warrter now

iv seen it in a few just in car parks ect must be a common prob

i was shitting myself as i didnt no how long its beein in there as iv been told they rust qwick

1996 series 2 r33 turbo

this is only prob iv eva had with the car at all
