hey , i've got an r32 gtst, and just bought an xforce 3inch cat. i tried to remove the sensor in the stock cat but coz its rusted in heaps i just rounded the bolt. any ideas on how i could get it off??

I was also thinking as a last resort to just cut it off and not run one at all, would that be a problem??

Need help.

thanks.

what about in a 33 ?? I thought they did connect to the ECU....

makes sense for the ecu to know exhaust temps... its important for tuning vehicles to have exhaust temps.....

For tuning yes, for stock, prolly not so, as zhaust temp can be derived of sorts from the O2 sensor.

I doubt strongly the sensor is of any real accuracy; and truly IS just to warn when the things too hot (blocked)

Thread revival :D I just found out my sensor cable coming out of the cat is snipped and I can't find the cable that goes from the car to the cat but my question mainly is in reference to its importance in tuning. I am about to have my car tuned. Should I get this sorted out beforehand?

Don't worry about it - it has no effect on the tune.
