Hey All,

Had my 32 gtr up on the hoist the other day and noticed the O2 sensor wasnt hooked up, the plug was just sitting there with no connecting plug to the loom\wire harness in sight. Im running an Apexi PFC and it seems to run fine without it, does it need to be connected though?? Im thinking I might get a bit better fuel economy if it was hooked up.

Cheers!

I think you are confusing the O2 sensors with the cat temp sensor. I would say what you say was the cat temp sensor disconnected. it doesn't matter at all. it's purely there to set off the cat temp warning light to tell you the cat is getting hot. the O2 sensors can be seen inside the engine bay from above. one in each dump pipe and it's best to have them connected for fuel economy but it's no big problem if they are disconnected and you have an ecu (like power FC) that you can tune the light load cruise area of the map.

Thanks but its definitely the O2...I know what one looks like as Ive replaced three of them in the past on other cars and I could see the unplugged cable leading straight to the O2 that was connected to my dump pipes....couldn't see it from above as Ive got two turbos and two 4" turbo dump pipes blocking my vision :)

Cheers!
