Rb26 Shims. What Price Can You Guys Get Them For?.

as above guys. these are £11 a shim in the uk. i will probably need 24 as the cams are jun and noisy.. set the gaps to std last time which i have now found out is fine but not for jun as they reduce the base circle by 1mm. i have some tomei buckets to fit but until i mic them i am not sure how much ticker than std they are. are shims cheaper over there guys? anyone get me what i need if i send the sizes?. bernie uk.. rb26/30 rebuilder.

p.s contacted precision shims but heard nothing?.

get an rb engine builder to set them for you. or its nissan. and over here its about 600 to see them

i paid $195au from www.precisionshims.com.au for the set of 24, i run jun cams and had same issues, the jun specs reccomend 0.30mm and 0.33mm clearance unlike the stock nissan clearances which are much bigger.

that shop sells the shims at custom sizes u just order the thickness and diameter u need. i think from memory the rb26 are 12mm in diameter. Just tell him they are for a rb26 and he should know the details, and u just specify thickness u need. Order them a touch bigger and grind them down to suit each one to get them exact rather than trying to order exact thicknesses straight from the shop.
