a shit load of degreaser and a high pressure hose.

try some stuff called 'bug and tar remover' if that doesnt work which you'll find at repco or supercheap. its top stuff.

but still use a high pressure hose, or a paint brush if you're keen on getting inside the fins.

I use an alloy wheel cleaner thats acid based and it never touched the paint, I've also used a descaling acid before with great results, spray it on with a pump spray bottle, then pressure wash it clean, comes up like new

Worth testing what ever you try on paint work first just in case though.

Just spray some degreaser on it, after its on there for a while wash it off with some warm soapy water and a high pressure hose, then just rinse it off with some hot water.

Most car wash's these days have warm water on there "high pressure soap rinse" option, so just use that!

The warm water does make a difference! :D

Dont get to close with the high pressure hose, they have been known to damage the fins on the cooler due to the pressure.

Thanks,

Abu
