hey guys,

have just installed a Speco boost gauge and Turbosmart boost controller (bleed valve) on a 1993 R32 GTS-T today. when we took it out for a spin boost gauge reads 14psi with the controller turned all the way down. it hits 14 then slowing creeps back down to about 10psi when rev's get higher. we pulled over and wound it up 5 clicks and still hits 14psi but quicker and still creeps down to about 12psi. have i installed everything correctly or could it be faulty parts?? anyone had this happen before???

cheers

its common that your boost does fall in higher rpm. it could be many reasons. such as bov, intercooler piping, silicon joiners, intercooler and anything else related to boost pressure. i am having the same problem and i beleive its the stock actuator. so i will be upgrading to the hks adjustable.

Ive got a manual boost controller and this doesnt happen to me, I reckon uve installed it wrong

the only thing i could have hooked up wrong would have been the boost controller! what will i notice if i hooked that up the wrong way? i might switch the hoses to see what happens....

if its hooked up the worng way u will have full boost all the time, which way does the flow arrow point on ur boost controler if it points towards the actuator its right i think from memory i havnt looked at mine in a while. when i installed min ei could only wind it down to a min of 10psi cos of the exhaust apperently when u get a free flowing exhaust ur boost will creep up a bit

Yea that is possible, but its also possible to hook it up wrong so u stay on stock boost, trust me, it happened to me once

turbosmart boost controllers have a habit of boost creep. Just get yourself a TurboTech off this forum or eBay for under $30.00 and never experience boost creep again..

I'm running 14PSI all day, and I've never seen it spike.
