golvebox installs (if done properly) can look very neat

my car came over with a few guages and controllers in the glovebox but mounted on some awful carbon fibre which had been cut out with garden shears by the look of it...

id recommend the DIN or ashtray setup, thats how alot of cars over here have done it. but if you want to hide your expensive electrical gear from thieves etc then try a glovebox job!

mine is below the stereo.. I removed the tray below my stereo and made up plastic panel to mount it on. Works a treat, but maybe slightly hard to monitor if you're doing drags and you're after an accurate measurement of RPM and THR in face view.

bit like Grims except looks a bit neater IMHO :P

Pred, my stereo has a silver border for the face plate that nicely covers up the little gap you can see. But your right that it's hard to see if try to read corrections or revs. But I was after a 'stealth' install.

Enrico, the flip cover is part of the factory compartment that came with the car...I just cut it to mount the safc inside it so the front flap can close up and cover it.

How about buy a stand? When driving put the S-AFC just behind the steering wheel or on the middle of the dash(just above the air outlet)

When not driving hide it in the glove box. Just same theory as some detachable face head unit.

However, is it legal to put there?
