Hi guys,

Just getting rid of my Bilsteins from my s2 r33 non turbo, upgrading to coilovers. Product number is F4-B46-1916-H0 if that means anything to anoybody.

Theyre in good condition still work perfectly, never ever had a problem.

I find the ride pretty firm, but nothing harsh as the shocks seem well matched with the springs.

No body roll until you push it. I bought them about 15,000kms old then the dude i bought them off decided to hit a telegraph pole, when i checked them out, they still seemed perfect. I've had them in my car for about 2 and a half years, done less than 20,000k's.

Looking for $400 for all 4 with springs, will considder separating springs and shocks if i get buyers for both. Buyer pays post obviously (from Sydney).

Let me know via PM, I'm keen to get rid of them, don't wanna muck around too much.

I attached the pic of them, rears are the long ones.

They're off my series 2 non-turbo r33.

I live in sydney, near hornsby.

I'm happy to sell rears for $200 only If someone wants to buy fronts for the same. I don't really wanna get stuck with one pair of struts as they're a set of 4.

NB. also have a pair of really low front K-mac springs if anyone is interested.

any idea of the rears will fit a series 1 gtst?

x2

how hard were they on the road?

i'm assuming they're not height and damper adjustable??

interested in the full set if you provide pics

The shocks are not overly hard, there is still moderate movement when you hit a rough speed bump or something. I found them to be a good compromise as they are comfortable driving and dont throw you round or anything like that. And no they are not adjustable.

If anyone lives close i would be happy to take them for a drive.

NB. will fit series 1, person i bought them off had an s1.

    • Absolutely this. Yes, except not vacuum hose. Something oil/fuel safe is a better idea.
    • Like a Stagea, but not as cool! Hope you have enough garage space for this, or is something going to leave to make way for it?
    • The new project has arrived. I have wanted one of these for such a long time, well before that meathead Clarkson drove one in Africa. I really wanted an E34 but I have some medical issues that mean I *really* can't bump my head and the lack of airbags in the E34 made it just too big of a risk.  I don't know why I've always liked these older touring BMW's to be honest, but man I love this car. She's been pretty well maintained for her 243k's with what appears to be only a single oil leak at the oil filter housing gasket. It has a bunch of updates including later model bumper and headlights, 7 series billion-way adjustable seats and it came with a few spares and another set of wheels with legal tyres. I got a unregistered car permit from the RTA and drove it back from Canberra on Saturday.                   First cab off the rank is cleaning it up for blue slip. I dont know how picky they'll be but I figured I'd clean the headlights, fix the oil filter housing gasket, replace the speed sensors (throwing errors) and swap the OE wheels (the M Sport wheels have a big chunk out of one of the tyres.) I also need to replace all 6 gas struts - 2 for bonnet, 2 for hatch and 2 for hatch glass. The car tries to eat me whenever i open any of these. My plan for this car; Ultimately, this is a budget car. I can't afford to throw lots at it and its because I have another car that I got this, if something breaks its no big deal. I will just maintain and repair it really. But eventually I want to do a manual conversion. It actually looks pretty straight forward for E39's and the trickiest part will be sourcing the parts.  I do need to replace some suspension arms or bushes because wow, she's a floaty old girl. She's also fantastically slow. Like really, really slow. When pulling back out on to the freeway on Sat after a quick pull over I needed to wait until no cars were visible before going.  Oh, and the guy I bought it from had a gorgeous R31 GTS-X in the garage.
    • Do you have a picture? I assume it is a breather for gearbox oil as it expands, it should have a vacuum line run nice and high in the engine bay (R32 GTR has it on a top bellhousing bolt)
    • Hi all, I am putting an r33 gtst gearbox into a VL and have noticed what looks like a vacuum barb on the box (on top in the middle). Suspecting that it's a vacuum line but I'd like to double check, if someone could confirm the function of that would be great. Cheers in advance.
