my walbro fuel pump has just crapped itself. im trying to get it out so i can see what sort it is, part no. ect. so i can replace it asap... But! i cant get my fuel cell cap off! its on tight + iv read on a few threads to get a bit of wood and a wooden mallet to hit away at it but the teeth around it have been broken and worn down (looks like the last owner did it that way)

is there any way off getting it off? has anyone else had this problem? is there a fuel cell key or something?

any info or ideas will be great.

cheers

Mate sounds like its knackered anyway you might have to replace it.

what you could try is a very large srcew driver and place it where the teeth things used to be even better if 2 of you do it at the same time.

I used a socket extension piece and placed the 'female' end over the plastic teeth and tapped with a hammer.

But if yours are completely gone, might be worth getting a replacement off a wreck or something and just busting that one off
