I don't mind the kit but I don't like the rims at all. Black with white works fine but not the style. BTW My rims are quite similar and I don't like them either.

I am going to keep my car for a long time I think. If I were in the market to buy it would be because my car was stolen/written off or whatever. I would definitely be buying a top end example with shitloads of mods. It's much cheaper than doing it yourself.

lol....no offence taken. Whats wrong with black BBS wheels? Whats wrong with stock mirrors? and the Veilside rear bar isnt everyones taste, but you dont like 400R sides an a genuine GTR front bar?

i think it looks neat simple & nice.....but maybe im wrong (or maybe you think it still looks the same as my signature picture an havent looked at my for sale thread?)

:)

Hey mate, sorry but you don't have black BBS, stock mirror on you signiture thats why. My bad.

so far its in:

the classifieds section of Ebay

Carpoint.com

Carsales.com

Tradingpost.com

The Melbourne trading post paper

The local Geelong newpaper classifieds

skylinesaustralia.com

boostcruising.com

calaisturbo.com

treamloose.com

think ive covered a fair few area's?

ABO_BOB: yeah i've never really been a big fan of my rims either, but there top quality & light weight so ive never managed to change em

SNO33: I could get rid of the rear bar, i still have the stock one in the shed, just buy some neat pods an slap em on maybe?

RB26....back to throwing good money at bad....

guess the right buyer will come along eventually an it'll be exactly what he/she is looking for. But do can i be bothered waiting for that person? I'm not in any real rush

as someone thats in the market for a skyline right now and that happens to be the first car off my p's, i have some very specific tastes. Two of them are black/silver with a sunroof, in a 96/97 series II. I can't speak for everyone that would be looking at your car, but I assume theres others there like me who would not bother even looking at your car because of it being white. Personally I would spend more on a stock car with these features, than a modded white one without them.

what if i paint it silver, install a sunroof, put series2 headlights/bonnet/front bar on it.....then would you buy it for $20K....:D it even has series 2 seats in it

if i was paying 17 for a stock series 2 would anyone consider me being ripped off

yes its clean, got suspension and exaust and rims, thats bout it

it suddenly seemed a great deal till i read this thread lol

i priced my R33 cheap and sold it in 4 days. silver/grey 2 tone R33 series 4dr and i got $17700. stock body, stock motor, just a big turbo and the associated neccessary bolt ons to go with it.

if u want to get rid of it, advertise it at your lowest price and be firm with it, and it will sell.

i could have asked $20K for mine but I knew if people saw $17700 price tag, they would jump at it, and they did.

my car was only advertised on SAU and another prominent WA forum.

Hey, Nice Car! I like the rear, it makes it that bit more unique..

I recently bought a 1998 R33 GTST 40th Anniversary in Midnight Purple! Yeah the one in my signature. I paid $16k for it. It is mostly stock, only new exhaust in January, GReddy timer, 350z 18" rims which I think look better than they do on the Z!, and Pioneer Head unit, maybe some other bits.

When deciding what to buy there was way too many to look at and choose from, so to narrow my selection I decided I did not want anything white or black, rims no bigger than 18's as tyres get pretty pricey. I wanted the R34 as I like the kit on them but this 33 was close enough. I only looked at cars 1997 or later, the most I wanted to pay was $19k, Had to be manual, preferably with sunroof but I went without one.

Some of my specifics are a bit ifish but I had to draw the line somewhere. Some times I think maybe I should have broadend my my search a bit more but I probably still wouldn't have decided on one..LOL

Good luck with the sale and I hope you get what your asking. If you drop the price I wouldn't drop it too much, seems reasonable, unless you want a really quick sale..

anomaly---If your planning on doing it up more yourself I'd keep looking, this one does seem a good deal for what its got and low kms- much cheaper that doing it all yourself..but it's up to your personal taste. I spent a good 6-8 weeks researching and pricing to find the one that suited my needs.

It isnt going to get any easier to sell them either. The writing was on the wall a long time ago for those astute enough to read it. Imports are a very small part of the overall car sales in this country and the p plate laws took a bite out of what was there. Couple that to the concerted and obvious police actions against imports along with the negativity seen in the media on an almost daily occurence and its easy to see why they are going through a slow sales period. The vehicles themselves are not getting any younger and that detracts from their value as well.

It will be a cyclic thing where, as import sales slow down importers will cut back to suit, As they cut back and there are less cars available the price will grow stronger. It will never return to what it was but if you are in no hurry to sell I think it willl improve to some degree.

I drive past a nice white r33gtst for sale on the side of the road everyday.

It's been there for a month and started at $17k

It's had $13k on it for the last week so I stopped and had a look at it.

I was surprised it was a manual and only had 90,000km on it.

A very tidy car apart from having too many stickers on it.

It still has ONO on it too.

You can't tell me there aren't some bargains to be had out there.

i think be patient, as it's only a matter of time until the right person/buyer comes along

i only bought my line in february this year with mild mods - now wishing i'd bought one already highflowed, as i got bored of 200rwkw very quickly. and i was too focused on looks - it had to have a veilside bodykit. now i come to realise veilside kits aren't very popular when i comes to selling :)

if you were able to get it engineered without it costing you too much money that would definately help with the sale

if i hadn't already bought my line, and was in the market, i would be looking at a similar setup mod-wise to yours.

BUT - personally, if i was looking through car ads, and saw yours, i would flick straight past it, purely because it's white. my personal opinion is i think it's silly buying a white sports car

*hide's from abo bob*

what if i paint it silver, install a sunroof, put series2 headlights/bonnet/front bar on it.....then would you buy it for $20K....:) it even has series 2 seats in it

if the motor was rebuilt, but still aint a series 2 lol

    • interestingly enough, i found out the answer is yes. doing a flush did fix my recurring A/T light. it might have been because of the trans filter: but that doesn't really make sense to me. the fluid/filter was super dirty. would that increase the pressure in the lines and trigger an A/T light? does the car even have a way of detecting that? i have no idea. i've done 200+ miles after the flush and no A/T light. if my A/B solenoids went bad, i would think the light would've come on. shifts and drives way better now though...at 2k rpm instead of 2500...no hesitation and downshifts when i want it to.
    • I vote go red. Only because I hate keeping gloss black clean. Was no worries helping out either! Glad you've survived the rain outs of QLD
    • I would again like too thank Matt for his help in me sourcing the detachable hard top for the little red car, without Matt's assistance in inspecting it and locking it down, I can guarantee it would have sold before I could get up to see it,  and as that was the only available NC hardtop in Australia, I consider myself extremely lucky on multiple levels To say I'm more that happy would be an understatement And, it is 100% water tight, I drove through torrential rain coming back south, and by torrential, they type of rain that doing 40kph in a 110kph zone was a real thing, and even then, the standing water on the Hwy was deep enough to throw waves I'm also more than happy that the huge "BEASTS" that Matt calls dogs didn't eat me for lunch, I'm sure the sniffs and licks were more to "taste test" me, over being to friendly Now to work out what colour to get it painted, panel match, or gloss black........first world problems are real
    • Actually I might have figured out. Looks like there is a tab according to google images but it's hidden. Silly me.
