Hey Guys

As some of you know i bought a GTR on the weekend. Today i was offered a job in Airlie beach which i think i am going to take. Unfortunately for me this means that the GTR has to go already as i dont have the means to be taking multiple vehicles all over the country side. If it doesn't sell i am not worried as i will put it in storage. This vehicle was purchased with cash and therefore has a clear title. It is also accident free.

Ok, so its a 11/96 build series two non v spec. It is in immaculate condition inside an out, the interior looks almost unused and the exterior is in original standard condition with nothing more than a few car park scratches. I had this car on the hoist over the weekend and it is clean and clearly never been in an accident. all of the bushes, joints etc are in great condition. The car is freshly serviced including gearbox and diff oils and has new tyres.

This car has a fresh built bottom end and reconditioned head. It was rebuilt with a high octane kit including 20 Thou over CP Pistons, Eagle H Beam Rods, Tomei Metal Head Gasket, Baffled Sump, Rocker Cover baffles, Gates Racing Kevlar Cam Belt, Nissan Gasket set and New Bearings. It is all balanced and blueprinted and Built by BOOSTWORX. Strap a decent set of turbos on te side of this and it will have no trouble supporting in excess of 450rwkw reliably. The cost of this rebuild came to $9000 and its all included for the price of a standard GTR.

12/09/2007 I dynoed the car today, first with the factory restrictor in place then with it removed. The results are quite good considering everthing including the factory airbox, air filter and compliance cat are still in place. I also had a compression test done, results shown in the pics.

Details as follows:

77,000kms

White

Brembo's

Exedy clutch

Cat back exhaust

Cyclops alarm/immobiliser and central locking kit

CD Player

and all the standard GTR features.

I am located in Adelaide and free until i start my new job so inspections are welcome anytime.

THIS CAR WILL BE SOLD THIS WEEKEND, IF YOU HAVE ANY OFFERS TO PUT FORWARD DO IT NOW AS I HAVE AN OFFER ON THE TABLE THAT I AM STRONGLY CONSIDERING.

OFFERS OVER $28,500 CONSIDERED

Updated.

Last night i met up with Troy from Boostworx on the SAU cruise in Adelaide. He happened to know more about my car than i did as he did the work on it recently. This work included a full bottom end rebuild, details listed in first post. This was done due to the sump plug coming loose on the original motor and dumping the oil resulting in the need for a rebuild. It is fitted with a top shelf kit from Hi Octane Motorsport and Built by Boostworx here in SA. I also met the previous owner who payed for all the work on the car and got some insight into what is turning out to be a very nice car indeed.

PM replied. For those who need to get finance i cant guarantee the vehicle to be yours unless you put down a deposit and i will sell if a cash offer comes through before finance is cleared if no deposit has been laid down.

Updated first post as i forgot to mention that the head was also reconditioned when the rebuild was done. The bottom end was balanced and blueprinted.

Thanks, at this price i think its pretty good value as there seems to be an abundance of GTR's for $30,000+ that are totally stock with unverified kms. This one is clearly an excellent representation of the kms travelled just with a fresh strong engine and clutch.

    • Seemed to be good when Jeff owned it but they did a shit job on my car, probably worth a think before spending 10's of thousands of dollars where they might be cutting corners
    • Starting with issues 1 - 5, we have already run into a problem...!  Issue #4 contained 2x front brake calipers, instead of 1 caliper and 1x steering knuckle. Will have to call DeAgostini on Monday to sort it out. Anyway here's some photos.  Issue #1 is the front bumper, headlights and number plate. Issue #2 is the front wheel (with "We produced with spartan air." text on the centre cap!) and tyre, the front lip spoiler and cylinder head cover with ignition coils under the centre cover... which will never be seen again. Issue #3 is the bonnet and cylinder head. Issue #4 is the front strut, brake disc (with laser etched metal discs) and brake caliper. I stopped here because of the issue with the missing steering knuckle.  Next update will be #5 - #10 in a few weeks.
    • DeAgostini is one of a few companies that release quite large (the largest commonly available size actually) 1/8 scale models in a series of weekly issues over 100 - 110 instalments.  They release different models for different markets and DeAgostini Japan have release the BNR32 Skyline GT-R Nismo last month. I've made two of these 1/8 scale sized cars (one an R35 GT-R from 2012 - 2014, the other I'm just about halfway through, a BNR34 Skyline GT-R from the 2Fast 2Furious movie) so when this R32 was announced there was no way I could ignore it as it's my favourite out of all Nissans.  Each issue costs around $20 so it costs about $2.2K when completed. I suppose it is very expensive for what it is, but the quality and details are really very good, and there are many "gimmicks" like fully functioning exterior and interior lights operated with a remote control, working steering, all doors/bonnet/boot/fuel lid open and close, the side mirrors fold in and it even has a speaker for the engine revving sounds when you turn the lights on.  Each issue comes with a magazine that tells the story of the BNR32 Skyline GT-R Nismo from the first design stages of the BNR32 to Group A homologation and the various racing version that were run in the Japanese Group A and JGTC, and Australian Group A.  So I plan to update the build in this thread 5 issues at a time.  https://deagostini.jp/r32/?srsltid=AfmBOooKjxDc4EUK2rmXqMBPgyHfFJ24s4oEPJBNpnF-lFlsRoW0PE6P
    • As per title.. has anyone used so far? Keen to hear results, comparisons. In the market for a new mani for my new turbo. Any issues cracking?
