Urgent Please Need Vehicle Inspection

hey guys

finally found me a car, and basically need to get a mechanical inspection in the next week

The car: 97 Series 2 33, 100k, first owner since import, looks immac and tastefull

Where: the car is in Ipswich, so preferably somewhere nearby

Background: im spending lots of hard saved cash on this car, and for the money im paying it pretty much has to be perfect in every respect

Options;

1. RACQ inspection... are these any good? do they really know imports?

2. Local mechanic? does anyone know anyone good preferably around Ipswich, or anyone who wont mind travelling a little???

Any reccommendations??

pick up someone from here. i would but ipswich is too far away. offer shane a carton and he'll prob have a geezer at it. i would rather get a fella from here than a RACQ guy. just cause its a skyline not a falcon.

Disclaimer: I work for RACQ, but not in vehicle inspections. This is my own opinion.

1. Really know imports? No. They'll pick up the normal car type stuff, but not import specific. However, they still get plenty of imports down there at EMP

2. As per 1, except they'd have seen even less imports.

yeh definately if someone from here would come down and just give their experience and knowledge thats worth a carton easy

im not too keen on the racq idea, i just am shitting myself spending all this cash on something i know little to nothing about
