How to get better fuel economy on a R32?

I got 450-500km to a tank, week in, week out. Stuck a BOV on because i was sick of the horrible noise the standard one makes (and on an R32 with a pod, its VERY loud) and i got..... you guessed it.... 450-500km to a tank.

Im not sure how a BOV which is jammed shut 95 percent of the time can effect fuel economy so much. And surely not the figure youve quoted which is 50 percent worse than stock. I know mine "snap crackles and pops" more with the new BOV, meaning its running rich on gear changes, but surely this difference might be 1-2 litres over the period of a tank?

Nothing wrong with the operation of the stock bov on the 32, other than it being bloody loud and when on boost all you can hear is air rushing and not the actual engine.... well thats what mine was like and I hated it. Now ive got a TurboXs BOV which has been creatively silenced
