FineLine
I love living 5 minutes from willowbank. ShaneF and i meandered out to the testntune night and were fortunate to watch Mark in the Godzilla 32 run a blistering 8.69 at 158 mph on mickey T street radials. If i am not mistaken that makes it the quickest class run in the country. The car launched hard and stuck at every shift point. Congrats to all involved. :sorcerer: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/183275-mark-jacobson-in-the-8s/ Share on other sites

blk180
Very nice any vids. Fastest in OZ by a bit maybe that will make keiv get his back to the track. Didnt the NZs come over here and run 8.55 on MT streets. markr34gtr
not sure what tyres the nz car ran 8.55 on... if they were et streets they are not a radail tyre. if they are radials we have a target for the australian nationals . 8.54 or better...ha ha cheers, mark Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/183275-mark-jacobson-in-the-8s/#findComment-3322743 Share on other sites

I have it in my head a UAE R32 GT-R built by Sub Zero did something like an 8.2 or 8.3 on DOT tires as well? Either way, an 8s run in ANY form with a 4WD is absolutely nuts, well done - thats awesome news. The 8s GTR club is a very exclusive one Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/183275-mark-jacobson-in-the-8s/#findComment-3322752 Share on other sites
DoughBoy
I think both Croydon's and Reese (as well as Suckling's car) were all running Holiger sequentials. Only Reese updated to a true clutchless (and now mr Jacobson as well). Think they were on the ET bias-ply DOTs too. Lithium
I think both Croydon's and Reese (as well as Suckling's car) were all running Holiger sequentials. Actually I think you are sortof right, the Croyden's GTR WAS a Hollinger sequential - I got my wires crossed, Glenn Sucklings OWN R32 GTR was a manually shifted Hollinger box - running full drag slicks though. The fastest manually shifted GTR I believe, think thats how I got confused. DoughBoy
Nah, nobody buys a H pattern Holiger. "It also has a Holinger sequential 6 speed gearbox with custom GDS Motorsport ratios which is also modified in conjunction with Holinger. In it’s current guise it is 5 speed" http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nissan-Skyline-8sec...Z1QQcdZViewItem Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/183275-mark-jacobson-in-the-8s/#findComment-3323024 Share on other sites
