I love living 5 minutes from willowbank. ShaneF and i meandered out to the testntune night and were fortunate to watch Mark in the Godzilla 32 run a blistering 8.69 at 158 mph on mickey T street radials.

If i am not mistaken that makes it the quickest class run in the country. The car launched hard and stuck at every shift point.

Congrats to all involved.:down: :sorcerer:

thanks guys... first outing with the new liberty gearbox....

3rd run of the night 8.695 at 158.95mph with a 1.351 60ft on mt 255-16 radials.

makes it fastest gtr in aus on street tyres and 2nd fastest in the world behind the vielside r32 gtr

which ran 8.62 i think....

thanks to all the guys who helped with the build...:down:

Bugger, almost makes me wish I didn't take the boat out on the river for the fireworks.

Noel, keep me posted for the next outing mate.

Next Sunday geoff, testntune for the nats. along with marks ride there should be a top quality field getting ready for the big go.

not sure what tyres the nz car ran 8.55 on... if they were et streets they are not a radail tyre. if they are radials we have a target for the australian nationals . 8.54 or better...ha ha

I can't remember what tires the Croydens R32 was running when it was there, but it was done using an H-pattern box too - and they were definitely some kind of DOT approved tyre. I have it in my head a UAE R32 GT-R built by Sub Zero did something like an 8.2 or 8.3 on DOT tires as well?

Either way, an 8s run in ANY form with a 4WD is absolutely nuts, well done - thats awesome news. The 8s GTR club is a very exclusive one :D

Can anyone confirm if these times are still current? Does the Croydon time still stand?

I think both Croydon's and Reese (as well as Suckling's car) were all running Holiger sequentials.

Actually I think you are sortof right, the Croyden's GTR WAS a Hollinger sequential - I got my wires crossed, Glenn Sucklings OWN R32 GTR was a manually shifted Hollinger box - running full drag slicks though. The fastest manually shifted GTR I believe, think thats how I got confused.

Nah, nobody buys a H pattern Holiger.

"It also has a Holinger sequential 6 speed gearbox with custom GDS Motorsport ratios which is also modified in conjunction with Holinger. In it’s current guise it is 5 speed"

    • Yeah the issue here is that we have a lot of topics, unless we matched on the exact word & phrase we'd get a million topics and the one you want will not likely be in the top 20 or so.
    • Yeah great idea, I have already added R32 Wiring Diagram but we can add as many as we want. 100% ! This has been something I've wanted to do for a while. I thought we could have a way for people to 'suggest' a link be added to the library when they come across something good.  We could kick this along by allowing members (maybe a subset) to tag threads they find to allow us to more easily find/locate/use good content, ie a tag 'for-library' which can then be added to the library and maybe have the tags reviewed and updated to better match the content. This would make it easier then to find the content when not using the library. We can also create pages that have lists of content with specific tags. That would allow us to add a tag and then have it automatically added to a page. We could have a page just for the 'for-library' content that we could then moderate and put wherever.  This excites me, the lack of structure with the amount of content is a little overwhelming.
    • Of course you can. That was a waste. Straight down one oil drain gallery and out the sump hole. Could at least have run the engine a little (obviously with at least minimum oil level on the stick).
    • Oh really? Maybe I'm being silly. I'll get some more shots. I had it higher but found that it went too high after a drive, I never knew this but exhausts can move around a bit when hot (makes sense, just never knew) and when it was higher it would make nice cooking plastic smells. That said, I could put some heat tape on a'la 90's R33 exhausts     Ha, I've spent a lot of my life in castle hill waiting for cars to be done. I think I'd prefer something closer but thanks D.
    • @Duncan Yes, changed filter every time. I don't have the service manual for the car yet (Car was imported and they removed everything when importing). I've been using the oil change threads in the forum as reference.   @Milkmun The second oil change was after ~4 months after the first months and I wasn't sure about reusing engine oil that was opened. The third oil change happened within 3 weeks of the second oil change and I used the previous leftover oil to just "clean up" the system. (Poured it through while the sump plug was open")
