Broken Exhaust Manifold Stud

hi guys

today when i was giving my engine bay a clean when i Noticed that one of the Exhaust Manifold studs and blot was gone (snaped off) from Cylinder 1. the very first on the left.

my question is would they make my car lose power? as i can see its leaking a little bit,

You will loose power as exhaust is bypassing the turbo, in turn hurting response and power.

If you leave the leak too long it will gouge a groove in the head/manifold. Then you'd have to get them surface ground. Hot exhaust gases can do that.

similar question guys...

was putting my new dump on yesterday and snapped the top bolt in the back of the turbo housing. still managed to get a fairly good seal on it and used gasket maker on it just to be safe..

is there going to be any problems driving this around until i can get it out? just dont have the time to pull my turbo off at the moment to get it out

how hard is it to replace a broken stud? so im guessing that the turbo has to come off and the Manifold

turbo off plus manilfod off. Budget on a fair bit of time.

Probably about 4 hours to get it all off. Get a stud remover guy out (~$180 to $200 including studs) or weld a nut or ezy out.

New gasket etc ~$100

If you cant see much soot on there and you arent going to keep the car that long I wouldnt bother.

Mine were like that for 2+ years. I only fixed them when I took the turbo off to highflow.

But if it gets real bad it can create a chaneel in the head!
