CONGRATULATIONS SNOWCONE AND BLAISE FOR WINNING DUTTON RALLY VICTORIA 2007!

After finishing 2nd outright in the Dutton Rally Western Australia a few weeks back, Snowy and Blaise have done one better this time and stormed the field in this years Dutton Rally Victoria!

SAU-Vic had a strong representation at Dutton this year and I can only imagine next year there will be more giving it a righteous shot.

It was a fantastic effort by the guys and girl considering some of the competition who had bottomless pit budgets and easy access to overnight parts from around the world (well, maybe not).

Breaking it down:

Outright Crew:

Snowflake/Blaise - 1st

Other outright results unavailable as the Dutton site screwed up their linking to the results.

Outright Driver:

Snowmobile - 2nd

Scotsman - 14th

Bellsy - 29th

Brisby - 38th

Golgo - 43rd

Outright Co-Driver:

Blaise - 1st

Handbags - 22nd

BigBird - 35th

Juz - 43rd

Handicap:

Bellsy/BigBird - 4th

Brisby/Juz - 7th

Golgo/Richard Andrews - 18th

Rookie:

Bellsy/BigBird - 3rd

Special mention to Scotsman and Handbags for finishing so high in the standings considering the mechanical failure suffered on Friday up in Shepperton which stopped them from competing in a number of the events!

Bris and Juz went hard in the RB20 and put on a great show! Bellsy's Sil80 kicked ass as a drift machine and showed a lot of the more expensive machines out there that racing isn't just about having an expensive car. James looked the part in the Aston Martin Vantage but unfortuantely the clutch (and front bar) wasn't up to hardships of a Dutton weekend but finished in fine form looking very latte everywhere he went.

Congrats guys

It was good seeing you cut loose out there :P

I have some pics from the event **HERE**

Congrats again and it was a good showing from everyone that turned up to cheer on the guys and girl competing :)

Awesome result guys!!!!

Leewah - according to the Dutton results Blaise come first in outright co-driver....

Snowy did an awesome job, how the hell did Gazzard beat him outright???

I thought it was in the bag....

Regardless it was a top effort, and well done to rest who had a go, Ryan/Bigbird big congrats to you guys for doing an awesome job first time out!!!!

I also saw that on the website last night and would be interested to know.

Also how does the handicap category work?

Fantastic result to Snowman and Blaise, you both worked hard for it with track days/events in each others cars. Outstanding effort guys.

Well done to everyone else with Bigbird/Littlebird combo being rookies and doing so well, Juz and Bris in the crazy silver bullet, James in the Aston and Scotbags for pulling those results off after such an unfortunate weekend mechanically!

BTW - There was almost a prime photo opportunity as Juz went to drive the ACRA final course. Just about to roll up to the start gate and she went to pass her handbag out the window to...........................

Handbags!

but it went back behind the seat :D

Well done again all, top effort by everyone :worship:

Of course Snow plough and Blaise, huge congrats. Handbags and Chris...hard luck :D

But Ryan and Jarrod, getting the results you two did in the little 180SX...you punted it very well and deserved the class win and strong overall standing.

I so hope the cameras were rolling at Winton, the pass on the Fezz was soo fun, even of it did hurt the lap times a little

Now to find the next Winton and Sandown track day :worship:

Ok...so my turn. Whilst Juz and i didnt win, 7th Team Handicapped Outright (not blue parking permit handicapped but not far off) was tops considering Juz had to surrender Friday afternoon runnig with a cracked rotor and much of Friday was spent driving/conserving the cracked rotor.

But despite us not setting the world on fire i had a blast...which would not have been possible without Team Support Mav and Bec. Troy over at MCR for donating his time helping with getting things ready on the car and coming up with a better Dutton Sticker then Snowie. And the important late night messages! :(

Tom for the Friday night run with new rotors. Racepace for actually making my car handle but still entertaining to drive...and of course the reliability i am seeing from the engine with the wick turned up.

Starbucks (Tony) for lending me the STI for some running around and for giving the unti a clean up despite it beign all my car crap over the living room :D Jack for the fuel drums. Marcus (Ronin09 for donating some top shelf brakes pads to the cause...and

... and Juz for giving my car hell and sounding so damn good every step of the way. Getting out of the car shaking like a leaf after every run....helping with oil changes...not slapping me too hard when i ran from the camera crew (From now on i shall be known as "Doesnt do interviews Troy"). But generally making for a fun weekend away, and hopefully forgiving her team mate for a vice or two :worship:

But done and dusted.... til next year!

    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
    • Wasn't there a thread on this very subject just a few weeks ago?
    • Hi all! Looking to relocate the battery to the trunk of an R34 GTT. I want to do it using as many stock GTR components as I can (including the harness protectors from the 34 GTR that run underneath along the chassis to the engine bay). So far I’ve purchased the battery tray from a 33 GTR, as the captive weld nuts are already there just asking to be used. There is also the slight issue of now having to relocate the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU, which in GTT’s sits right above where the battery will then sit on the tray. Has anyone already achieved this, and if you have any pics that you wouldn’t mind sharing? It would be great to see how others have done it and where you put them, as there are countless holes in the parcel shelf panel to potentially use. Just trying to get some ideas bounced around, and to help uncover any potential problems I may encounter by  my choice of location. TIA for any help!
    • Brand was ard.   I also threw a brand new battery at it and beefed up the wire from the alternator to battery and added an extra earthing point from the battery
    • Evening all,       I'm replacing some bolts on my RB25 with probolt Australia bolts.       Does anyone know the following, m5 m6 etc 10mm 20mm etc       Coil cover   Cam covers   Plazamaman fuel rail   Front cover (timing cover)   Etc   Any help would be awesome   Or any lists anywhere
