Replacing A Heater Cooler

Hi Everyone,

I have a coolant leak on the floor of the front passengers side, Have been told that its the Heater Cooler leaking, just wondering where I can source a Heater Cooler from New/Used

Was Quoted $300/Labour to remove whole dash, does this sound about right?

Didn't get a price on Heater Cooler. What kind of price are they new/used?

Heater core replacement is a bugger of a job as it involves removing the dash to get at it. While it is out you should check that all of your vent controls are working correctly as they also play up with age.

$300 for labour is cheap as it is a very time consuming job. My wifes' Mazda has this problem at the moment and the cheapest quote that I have to date is $1,200 for this job - most shops are not even interested in giving me a price. Neadless to say I have just bypassed the heater core at the moment until I can get a free weekend to do it myself.

I might have confused myself is it a Heater Core or Heater Cooler, that would be leaking the coolant?

it's the heater core .and 300 bucks just to remove the dash is dirt cheap it's a pig of a job ive done a couple of them now . try natrad dealer for the core about 200 bucks for a new 300zx ones fit as well
