real men run 2 bar gate pressue on base maps!

i reckon.....

you call yourself a tuner guiltoy and it cant hold 2 bar on a trailer tune .... pfffffff

thats so 2008!!!!

im sure you gave him rotational idle and anti lag so he can sound tuff on the trailer.

New fully rebuilt engine, new ecu thats only programed to start the car and drive onto a trailer / dyno.

He won't be driving it.

ohh yes i will be driving it...and have

the new (rebuilt) NPC twin plate is nice and bitey. Also to my amazement the modified Nismo mechanical 2 way rear diff doesn't clunk...must be the special oil its running or im not doing tight enough turns at low speed.

The gate has a 20psi spring in it. :D

This car does NOT need rotational idle to sound tuff.

So...is it E85...or BP98 tune?

I say we do a sensible street tune on BP98 for starters.

Then we fill the tank with CSR's finest and turn up the screws! Will fit the sidepipe for this tune so bring your hearing protection Guilt-Tripper.

that will be an interesting comparison, 98 vs E85 vs sunoco or some such back to back.

and its not like its hard to change tunes DI setup to a toggle switch and it can change fuel and ign maps at the flick of a switch.

Due to the price of Sunoco exceeding $10/litre im no longer running it...but will have some E85 v BP98 figures.

All over the toggle switch set-up.

Nah it's shit...

and stop inflating his ego :D

to be honest Guilt-Tripper knocked the nail on the head...he said to me "you have no idea how awesome this car is" i said "yes i do" he replied "no you don't, you can't, because you own it" I thought about it and agree, other people appreciate this car a lot more than me...all i see is its faults and things id like to fix or change. I saw a genuine Nismo R32 GTR today, it was bog stock and had 31K original Klm's on it...i was drooling over it more than i ever would over my own car.

Yeah he can be a wise man when he wants to be... and to be honest, I've noticed that, you've never really appreciated the car that you own, it always seemed like work... the only time you were actually happy was when it cracked 500kw :D

You have literally built a legend.

The car has come a long way since i bought it for Stace to use as her daily driver. It replaced the HR31 coupe she previously owned. It was stock except for a HKS cat-back exhaust and was the cover car in the HPI GTR special No.1 and was used as the test car in the 'buying used' article that they used to run in the mag each month. It had 39,000 original klm's on it and was imaculate like a new car.

It is spoken about at home just like a living member of our family would which is a little strange. Even the unit development we built at Soldiers Point had Spark Silver two-pack kitchen cupboards to match the cars paintwork. Yes its a worry.

Im so glad nobody came up with the $55+K to take it off my hands...grossly undervalued...it was a great oportunity for someone smart enough with cash to secure a bargain at under 1/2 the build and development cost. To build this car again now with the Yen as it is would cost 1/2 that much extra.

The PPG straight cut dogbox is not as bad as i thought...pretty smooth to shift up...down is a little tricky but ill get used to it. It has a nice whine to it too.
