Electrical Problems

hi guys.. my drivers side indicator is flashing more quickly than passenger side which i assume is not grounded properly.. where do i check grounding for this..

also my speedo cluster lighting is faint and randomly lights on/off.. is this related to my grounding issue..

my headlight sometimes also does not alway turns on first time.. i have to turn it off and on again for it start displaying.. any ideas..

I would presueme you checked all the Globes?

roger that.. i have taken the indicators and cluster apart and swapped some globes around.. still my lights on the speedo cluster and centre gauges flicker

No, checked all the indicator bulbs?

keep in mind there are two bulbs in each front blinker

I have an intermittant contact with the little side-ish bulb in my front right indicator housing, when it loses contact it goes into a fast flicker.. Easy as to check, one screw and its in your hand.

had same problem...one of the wires on the indicators was exposed, simple fix..taped over with some insulating tape, may not be in your case, so have a check of that

well sorta.. if i play around with cables.. it seems to fix the issue.. by play i mean twist it around.. the plugs that connect into the blinker looks brittle and has black grit over it.. is it easy to source replacement plugs etc.. it is stable for now..

I think on that plug you should be able to prise it open and reuse it. Double check the globe, I had the same issue and thats what it was, the coil filament was broken but still touching, so it would work intermittently or whenever i thumped it. Plugs are plentyfull off wrecked skylines on ebay. You could also try pulling out the globe and cleaning the contacts on the inside. They usually get electrolite/oxides buildup when theres a poor earth
