Id say maybe a GT3071 in an external gate setup with some advance in timing thru some adjustable cam gears. soemone back me up on that?

IMO you should put something in the Forced Induction section of the site and they will give you a good answer or "WHY DIDNT U LOOK HERE" answer to which you will get a correct answer anyway.

3071 to big for a rb20, i have a hks t3g (old skool) on my rb20 not too laggy n runa around the 210rwkw @ 14psi

best bang for buck softy would say hks 2530 i reckon or the garret 2871r

I said GT3071 because he had a Rb25... lol read man.

i think he wants response and power.

I've really only heard a few bad things about these turbos - Mainly good thing though. The bad was to do with a manufacturing problem with the W/G overboosting.

Seems like good value for the coin.

I'm thinking of one of these for my pig project as they are cheap.

I have a VL turbo turbo on the FJ at the moment - seems pretty small - the W/G is dodgy welded shut and has an external WG. So I'd be thinking of bypassing W/G on these one of these cheap turbos anyway.

I will see how the VLT turbo goes after we fix the dodgyness.

Or you could just get the GT3076R from Garrett (same as HKS GT3037). GT3071R (same as HKS GT2835, except only in T2 flange) would be good on the RB25, but would have to do some mods to make it fit the manifold... :P

what about machining it into a VG30 exhaust housing? My understanding is it'squite a bit bigger than a 25 one.

Would it limit power TOO much? Be nice and responsive id imagine?

Im thinking of doing this for my RB20DET, but with a GT2871, into a RB25 exhaust housing (Already have RB25 turbo on car)

As for KKR, Only MAJOR drama Ive heard is they've had WG problems, and as Simon said, you'd need cams and tuning to make the most of it.

Is getting the stock turbo Highflowed an option?

ya get what ya pay for in this world.

A friend has one on her SR, its got top end ( not too much0, but pretty laggy. I would say the standard SR turbo would be overall better than the KKR.

My 2 cents lol
