Big boy, Brisby and Patric

I'll be there at 9am tomorrow but just give me a yell when you get there and i'll come out with the tickets. My number 0423 856 410.

There are some mean machines this year, there is one that probably your fav Mr Brisby, a fully race pre Audi.

Apparently one of the R31s crashed?

Must happened at race 3 on Suday arvo then, i heard the 31 won the first race on Sat, i saw second race early sunday's arvo and the Ford Siera won, didnt' hang around to see the last race.

Yeah both the R31 and Sierra "disappeared" in the final race on Sunday. We couldn't see what happened to either from our vantage point - was down turn 1 way for both. But they were both just there one lap and not the next.

R31 Broke a diff or CV, Pulled off the track and was towed back, Sierra was bumped off the track by the RE car VC commodore that was in the top 3.

Gavin started to get a feel for the GT-R and ended coming 2nd by about 2 metre's to the commodore but it was a great race to watch.

In that shot of the DR30, the guy behind the wheel is Tony Scott.

He's the guy who put that very car on pole at Bathurst.

What year was that? 1986?

Hooks

Was he also the co-driver with Fury in 84 when Fury had that famous lap and stuck the bluebird on pole?

Gary Scott, to me it felt like I was surrounded by royality, jim richards, graeme "jackie" stuart and gary scott. Did anyone see fred gibson on the weekend was he flating around?

    • It's more like on average the things I see a lot of things going wrong. Yes, usually the people who reach out are the ones who are having problems but on average it feels like mechanics and tuners here aren't really competent. I swing between thinking my standards are just way too high and wondering whether people really are just this dumb. I just had the strangest 10+ reply argument on a Facebook group over someone insisting that the factory R34 GTT boost control solenoid reduces boost pressure to 5 psi when it's on and raises boost pressure to 7 psi when it's off despite showing the exact plumbing in the factory service manual and the solenoid behavior detailed in the FSM.
    • I steam cleaned my near new set of volk gtc wheels 14 years ago and farrkkked them lol. The clear coat cracked like spider webbing in several areas. Lesson learnt don't do that. ๐Ÿ˜ญ
    • If you don't touch the CAS, then you're fine.
    • Yeah, my moulds and seals are 32 years old now. I think I will continue to not use a pressure washer on it.
    • I hear the old "I'd never use a pressure washer on my motorbike" BS in the dirtbike community too.ย  The only people that have had a problem from using a pressure washer on anything are the people that aren't using them properly.ย  If you hold the wand any more than 45 cms away from pretty muchย anything (radiators, wiring connectors, paint, etc) you aren't going to cause any damage.ย  We've had detailers wreck moulds and seals on cars at work before and the only reason why is they held the pressure washer too close and on the one spot for too long.ย  If you have 5% more brain power than a detailer then you know not to not do that and you'll never have a problem.
