BLOOD, SWEAT AND GEARS

As part of the 2007 Spring Car Nationals, Fox 8 will be filming an eight part series developed by Turtle Wax aptly named Blood, Sweat and Gears which will go to air on the network early in 2008.

Blood Sweat & Gears, the first TV program of its kind in Australia will put drivers and cars through their paces in a number of grueling challenges to find the ultimate King of Cars.

Spring Car Nationals organiser, Les Adams said the program is fantastic for Shepparton.

“There will be national and possibly international coverage so it will definitely put Shepparton and Spring Nats on the map,” said Mr Adams.

Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Jenny Houlihan echoed the comments from Mr Adams, saying the town will benefit greatly from the coverage.

“People flock to the town for the Spring Nats weekend, and Blood Sweat & Gears will give them further incentive,” said Cr Houlihan.

They should just get some cars ie skyline , supra , Evo , Monaro etc , give each team $20,000 and 1 month , then run them through events

"Spring car Nationals" aye. so when does this event come to Perth or anywhere else for that matter?

Why not call it something more appropriate like "spring car Victoria's"? Not quite as catchy by more to the point.

Calling it a "Nationals" is as ghey as calling the American baseball league the World Series.
