If anyone is in or around Campbelltown area i can get ure car tinted any percentage for max $200. Always quality work. Never pay more then 200, they're pocketing the rest.

r u in campbelltown in SA? can you give me more details about the tinting?

Just be careful with some cheap tinters. make sure you're getting good quality metalised film and a nationwide warranty. also inspect the job before you pay - i've seen plenty of shockers... bits of dust, hairs etc through it.

i tinted my 10% and the cops pulled me over and buy the time they say my engine they forgot about the 10%........thet costme about $250

i got my R34 done by a guy i know in gympie excellant work. only got the two door windows done $110. rear qtr glass an rear window are prvacy glass.(more or less black) got the front's not quite matching. not legal at all just drive with the window down. around town any way

Only prob with privacy glass is that it provides no UV protection at all.... interior still gets hot and fades quicker.

Any recommendations for tinters around the Shire area?

Also any way of telling whether the tint will offer UV protection?

The tinter should be able to tell you what film they use and what uv blockout it offers.... just check it's a metalised film. Privacy glass is just coloured glass.

Can any one in Perth recommend any where decent? Getting an alarm installed by Action Alarms who also do tinting but I haven't really heard much about them apart from the fact they're listed in the consolidated workshop thread..

my boss has reflective tint, ill ask him where he got it from

iv been told it is called metalised tint... does anyone know where abouts i can get this type of tint... iv rang a few places and they dont stock it because its illegal...

Just normal black tint is usually metalised these days, most film/tint is, just the local dodgy brothers and supercheap sell/use non-metalised film.... reflective tint is completely illegal and if you get done for it you'll have to rip it off on the spot (if the glue hasn't crystalised yet) to even move your car.... stupid idea, blinds other drivers with sunlight, and cops will ping you for it in a flash.

doesnt have to be full metalised, i think some places do the 50% metalised tint
