I would go to one of the truck places and buy a four inch RUBBER elbow. These are used in big rig truck air induction systems. Truck snorkel intake diameters go from three inch to ten inches or more in diameter, and you can get hoses and bends fairly readily for all the sizes.

as above guys, do you guys have anywhere in oz where i can buy a bend. its for my air filter to turbo.. cheers bernie uk needsa to be 4" diameter and have about 6" legs.

If by 'alloy' you mean non-steel, read no further as this post won't help you :D

You probably want something like this:

Any exhaust shop should be able to get you one easily in mild or stainless steel

in a reasonable variety of wall thicknesses. You probably don't want it as thick as

the one above given that it's for the inlet side...

Just ask for a 4" right-angle mandrel bend in the wall thickness of your choice

Regards,

Saliya

cheers saliya.. will think on that.

warpspeed, its from the air filter to the turbo, when running high boost and long silicone legs on the bend i have seen then collapse under suction. i suppose the turbo is trying to pull so much air through the filter the hose just gives in?.

    • If you like how loud the car is now a resonator behind that mid muffler should help with drone and not effect the volume much I've added resonators to a few aftermarket exhausts before specifically to reduce drone, volume really never changed, but cabin noise hwy cruising was much improved......with great success
    • Well, that's why I left Shannons. First they made us pay the excess after a taxi hit the z when it was parked. We supplied the rego and police report, they didn't feel any responsibility to find the owner and would not pay for the repair until we paid the excess.  Then our house (insured with Shannons) was broken into, and the safe containing spare keys for 9 cars was stolen. Shannons tried to tell us that as well as the house excess we had to pay the excess for each car to key them rekeyed (ie almost $10k in excesses for one theft event). They backed down on that after we went through the ombudsman but we left them after that.
    • Am guessing the "steering wheel shroud/cover" you're after is actually the steering column shroud?
