i have iridium bcpr6eix-11

i was told to reduce the gap to .65 to me that sounds to thin of a gap, would i get a better gain out of .7 or am i better with .8

cheers

I think if you just get bcpr6eix, you wont have to regap them if I am not mistaken?

I think they will come pre-gaped at 0.8?

The "-11" at the end, bcpr6eix-11, means there gaped to 1.1 right?

Im just assuming here, I know that is the case with the plugs I am using. BCPR6ES (0.8) BCPR6ES-11 (1.1)

Yeah I've heard it's something like that.

It's always best to go for the largest gap you can do without your car missing.

abu, why buy .8 plugs when i can just gap the 1.1's to .8 anyway.. seems silly :S

If you've already got the 1.1mm gapped plugs, regap them. I think what he was trying to say, is if you want plugs gapped to 0.8mm already, buy the plugs with that code.

It's always best to buy plugs already gapped to that size isn't it? I think it was iridium or platinum plugs you can't regap.

you can regap them, you just need to be careful. certainly better than throwing them out for a pre-gapped set.

i did my platinums against a piece of soft-ish 2x4 wood. soft taps.

Yep sorry.

What I was trying to say was if you want plugs gapped to 0.8mm, just buy them pre-gapped at 0.8mm instead of having to re-grap them down from 1.1mm for instance.

I think factory gapped plugs save you the hassle and chance for error.

I usually check the gap before putting them in, just to save time and hassle later, but they are usually at the correct gap as on packaging.
