LTSJayce
G'day crew. I just thought I'd let everyone in on a well kept secret that should be getting way more air time. There's a new 4wd dyno in our area, run by the best in the business. I may be a bit biased, but these lads already have the runs on the board: the world's most powerful street rego'd WRX , DIABLO, at a whopping 578 AWKW. PHATASS widebodied GT-R at 1011hp ATRW ( a mere 996hp in 4wd mode...), one of the owner's gold Supra at 490RKW on a base tune, and it's an auto. Plus a bunch of tough cars of different marques, including a Foz or two! And now they've taken delivery of a shiny new dyno for all your tuning stuff! Some will recognise the name of ESP Racing's Daniel Jitts and Glen Kelly. If you don't, you will be hearing more of these fellas as they impact on the tuning scene even more. Glen has a passion for all things Nissan, especially those with a big red 'R' in their badging, owning a beautiful V Spec II that is a project that may well put mine to shame! They've done so much with Boxer EJ's that you'll be in safe hands. They've even had results from one of our own 'stealthier' owner's car!! So, pull your proverbial out and support the local lads who are putting Canberra on the map! These guys know how to tune a car, and they want more performance cars, so what's stopping you? Go in and see Glen or Daniel (sorry ladies; no picture...). They're at 171 Gilmore Road in Queanbeyan (NSW, I know, but I'm claiming them as ACT'ers, as it's just across the border!), phone them on 6299 4444 or email them on [email protected] Whilst I was there the other day, the tough Supra you see in the pics and vids was being seen to: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/184282-theres-a-new-dyno-in-town/ Share on other sites

The boys are keen to host a dyno day or three, however the day of the 22nd is first priority. After that,well... wig r31
They finally got it...I dont know daniel but glen is a top guy and a great tuner its amazing how many people are too lazy to drive out to QBN. Even though its approx 5 minns from fyshwick. trust me, if you have a performance car GO AND SEE THEM!!! I will be discussing holding a dyno day with them for the R31 skyline club sometime in the next few months and even though I'm moving to QLD in november I will be bringing the car back for them to tune (1400kms travel so they can tune it) That shows how much I trust/believe in Glen Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/184282-theres-a-new-dyno-in-town/#findComment-3337102 Share on other sites
RB- ajsx
a few of my mates took their cars there and weren't very happy with the results. One was for a tune and the other a ground-up re-build that never got finished, over 8 and counting months... met glen a few times and he's a top bloke. personally never had any dramas with them, not that i've ever taken my car there though Edited September 9, 2007 by RB- ajsx Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/184282-theres-a-new-dyno-in-town/#findComment-3337205 Share on other sites
Scooby
Any dyno operated by Jesus Christ has my vote. Wait up, that's Glen! Don't know Daniel but I can vouch for Glen - smart mechanic and nice bloke. widebody32
Its good to see another dyno in Canberra, Still will be using Unigroup Sydney as although ESP have the numbers on the board so far they have yet to build an engine themselves so will wait and see how they go before switching. LTSJayce
Just to dig up an old thread, I thought I'd post up an interesting observation... I usually ride past ESP at all times of the day and night, every day of the week, depending on my work and training roster. I constantly see Supras, Rexxies, HSV's, FPV's, big-dollar-turbo'd-this'n'that and plenty more exotica...but very few Skylines. What gives? Glen & Daniel know what they're doing, and they have the runs on the board when it comes to workshop & dyno. So why the noticable lack of Skylines at ESP? I know of a few other workshops in the ACT area that do good work, but they don't have the monopoly on that tag...Not to steer anyone who is loyal and happy away from their fave' workshop, but I think we're missing out... When (and NOT 'if') my GT-R is done, guess where it will be getting it's run in and dyno tune done? Those that know me know also how fussy I can be. So.... Bullet32
The guys at ESP are awesome at what they do and they can certainly build amazing machines, however the reason that there arent that many Skylines there is because ESP sponsor the ACT Supra club and they market themselves as Supra specialists. I would trust them with my Skyline any day and I agree that there should be more Skylines getting work done there but I would also trust the boys at Trojan as well seeing as the specialise in Skylines and all things Nissan, I guess its just a matter of opinion. Oh and Glen and Daniel are really great blokes too Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/184282-theres-a-new-dyno-in-town/#findComment-4075550 Share on other sites
RP071
Hi all I thought I would just chip in to this thread. ESP are sponsors of the ACT Supra club but this does not translate to, every member takes their car to them for general servicing and the like. Some of the members live on the other side of town and find it easier for them to take to someone local that they trust. When I bought my latest Supra I did try Trojan for a general service and lets just say that I won't be going back to them in a hurry. This was 4 + years ago. Not to rubbish Trojan though, everyone has had bad experiences with whatever shop you take your car to. It all comes down to who you're comfortable with and who you trust. The first time I had Daniel work on my car was when I destroyed one of my turbos and I was lucky to have a friend that had a Supra that had delt with him before. This was when I decided to get a single put on my car. This happened 3 years ago and now Daniel, Glen and Grant are the only people I trust to work on my car. They know that I'm a dumbass when it comes to mechanical issues and they take the time to explain everything to me. Daniel et al have transformed my car to a standard 177rwkw to a 430rwkw+ Supra that is one of the easiest cars to drive thanks to the safe tune and suggestions for modifications. On a side note: They have told me that they will not be extracting any more power from my car until I get another computer..... Anyway, enough rambling from me, basically go to whomever you are happy with and trust. I've found my mechanic and they have turned into pretty good mates now as well. Ross PS: I'm still looking at organising the Skyline v Supra thing, in particular the drag racing at WSID Edited August 15, 2008 by RP071 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/184282-theres-a-new-dyno-in-town/#findComment-4076123 Share on other sites
