I was having missfire problems with my R33 when I first bought it (2 weeks ago or so now).

Old mate that sold it to me was using Caltex Vortex (tank was full when he gave me the car).. First thing I did was I replaced the fuel filter and the O2 sensor, for simple general maintenance reasons. He had never changed the fuel filter since he got it. After doing this I filled up with BP Ultimate. I no longer get the missfire problem.. If yours come back you could try that. I'm now getting better fuel economy too, which would more so have to do with the o2 sensor.

Otherwise re-gap spark plugs (or replace, when where they last done?). If the problem is still there, your next step would be coilpacks. They're expensive though, $400-600 for a set.
