Manual Conversion

hey guys,

im looking at a r33 skyline and the only problem is its an auto, is there much point in doing a manual conversion?

i know u all will say "just buy one with a manual gearbox already" but its a good price which is why im interested.

Autos can be fun but I'd say go for a manual conversion.

You could get the gear box for about $1k. You could keep your auto diff if you like. Your car will get faster acceleration than an original manual, but have a lower top speed due to different ratios. Then you just need peddle box, clutch etc and you're there. I say go for it

I would say that if you rarely 'use' your car then it wouldn't be worth the time or money, but if you're going to take it on the track or do some runs, go for it.

What is a 'good price' to you? Sometimes you see stock 33 gts-t manual go for 10-12k and lower depending on condition etc. etc.
