No Antenna On R32 Skylines?

hey guys, i just noticed today my car doesnt have an antenna as i bought a rubber one to replace the gay automatic ones that come in s13/14/15 etc.

i saw none on the r32. i looked thru other pics of the r32 in the photos section and i cant see any either.

is this standard in skylines or is the antenna hidden somewhere?

R32 antennae are integrated into the windscreen (passenger side, looks like a very thin silver line), which is why they're a lot more expensive to replace.

If you ever see one with an telescopic antenna, it means the windscreen's been replaced with a non genuine nissan one.

Actually, all the Oz-delivered R32 GT-Rs had the windscreen aerial replaced by a roof-mounted aerial.

i put in a trip switch to make my arieal stay down when the DVD player is on... and up for the radio...

but its on full or nothing...

not that i ever listen to radio onyway

Actually the r32 has an aerial in the rear windscreen also... My car needed front windsreen replaced and the new one had no aerial but the rear windscreen has one so its not too bad, but the reception isnt the greatest at times...

I think the only way to improve the reception is to get some sort of signal booster. My radio sounds like shit at times. Always goes good, bad, good bad when I'm driving.

Might have something to do with the fact that you are surrounded by tonnes of concrete which isn't the best for sending radio waves through...

ok i had a look at both my front and rear windscreen and i still cant see the areial on the window

did you hook up the stock antenna amp?? blk/red at hte radio plug in a 32.

I think Chris Rogers mentioned in another thread that the antenna changes between front and rear windscreen to get the best reception?

after 6 years of owning various R32's now I don't even notice it... but everytime someone jumps in the passenger seat they tell me about the square crack i've got around the window and right down the middle.
