I have done my compliance in melbourne however I want NSW registration. Can I drive the car from Melbourne to Syd without it being regoed. How about if I get it freighted, can I drive it from the depot to the RTA without issues?

You can get a temporary registration from either VicRoads or the RTA to drive the car up to Sydney, otherwise you can have it transported up and I believe it's legal to drive directly to the RTA as long as you have a registration appointment already however you should check this yourself before doing it.
