its just a wire you can remove under the steering wheel...

mine's now gone and i couldn't be happier!

+1 for the Volkswagens,

the only car I have ever known that is less then two years old that had to have its full wiring loom replaced, completely snapped the driveshaft, blew two engines and rattles like a moneybox. Very sad little POS.
