But see you are the only one who realises this... everyone else who owns one thinks that they will smash a skyline in there stock berlina ;)

He would be the 2nd one... To date ive never picked a race with any skylines or silvia's in my LS2. Unfortunetly ive had dickheads in their VL's, VP's, VR's etc at the lights trying to initiate a drag. There are decent V8 owners out there, shame there reputation is tarnished by the bourbon drinking, cigarette smelling yobos in there $2k commo's.

Well, I do get overtaken by little cars because I'm very cautious in the streets, because my car seem to attract police cars .... like this morning, got pulled over again and I wasn't doing anything dangerous. I told my wife about it, she reminded me to sell the car, once again. So I keep at absoloute speed limit most of the time and let other cars overtake me.

Hey Anthony, mines fairly stock looking, and I never got pulled over (minus the 4 under covers driving through King Cross on a Friday night with no plates. Was coming down from QLD)

Does yours look all kitted out?

Dude i am only joking like most others on here, every type of car has some sort of tool/booner driving them, this unfortunatly includes skylines.... it's just that we typically pay out on the commonwhores and rex's :P as they do on us...

:P I get the Leb, subwoofer, chrome wheels, on bump stops thing almost every week hahah. They might get a “soccer mom Tarago” “Safe cardigan wearing Camry” or “San Fran Fudge Fun Jeep Wrangler” from me.

Its all tongue in cheek fun :ninja:

Ain't it funny that the stereotypical Ricer is a Leb with gold chains, or a chain smoking Asian, but when we did the poll on SAU the norm was a caucasian white aussie pink neck [we aren't game enough to be red].

The only true reason there are more commonwhore or fordpill rejects out there is cos they are cheap and available with heaps of parts and are a known entity. So if Car'n the Blues ever gets out of his depth with his Kmart spanner set he can call on any garage mate to help him out.

If he had to go through the same learning curve and have to rely on the same experts/garages we did he would look like Pumpkin at the railway station.

Mine looks stock too. But it is very loud. I come home, it shakes the whole house, sets off car alarms. Very loud BOVs goes off every gear change. I try to be courteous and drive on high gears. The cop this morning was nice about it, since I do have a clean driving record and I'm probably older than him. He didn't scruitinise the car, but I am expecting a small infringement notice.

Note that, my neighbour is a highway patrol cop, he's a big fan of my car. He also has some loud machines in his garage.

Yeh, Just Lookin, keep looking. Your on the wrong forum.

He did it on the Nissan Silvia forums too.

Can you get a infringement notice for noise? i thought they would just yellow card you on the spot, the buggers

Did what exactly..?? My point was, there is no sence in bagging or commenting on ones driving abilities/habits, when yours arnt any better. Simple really.

Awww Bullet32 has lots of sence, I mean cents, or was it sents, umm scents, ooops I really meant sense. :P

Okay okay I put myself down now before someone else does... I really am the biggest loser

I think its funny reading statements like "Then he did....... So i then proceeded to rev/speed/overtake".. Only to end your stories with an insult.. Not taking into account that your actions were as stupid as theirs were.. The looks on their faces when they display such behaviour only to be pulled over by an unmarked car is priceless..

Keep the stories coming thoe, its a good read..

Bullet32, your silver Ferrari often goes over 100km/h up the Monaro in the mornings as i casually look at you whilst driving to work, yet here you are telling stories of others selfish acts!!

QUOTE - so naturally this pissed me off, so I sped up and overtook him..."

Why dont you be an even bigger hero and tell me how fast you were going?

Yes Bullet32, you are officially my biggest loser encounter.

Who the F*ck are you and why have you brought your soap box here?

Did I ever say that I was the worlds best driver? No... This is simply for pointing out the people on the road who make us laugh because of how hard they try.

No matter what you drive you can be pointed at and laughed at by someone, there will always be many different people with many different likes and dislike.

I'll bet that if you went onto the Commodore or Falcon forums you would find a thread about Skyline and Silvia "Losers" or "ricers", its called friendly competition... Deal with it or dont post here.

Oh and by the way, if you see me on the Monaro in the morning going over 100km then you probably see the other 1000+ cars that are going the same speed and Im sure that you would have done it more than once, so dont get all high and mighty mate.

I think youre in the wrong place... Play nice or leave.

    • If you are genuinely considering trying to get this engineered, I would strongly advise finding the engineer that is happy to sign that off first before you put the hole in your car.  I've seen cars get defected for this and not be able to be put back on the road as no engineer they spoke to was happy to sign if off.
    • Apologies, while id like to put the MAF as close to the TB and relocate the recirc, this may be too much work. Will most likely end up just putting it on the original AFM spot ( onto/next to the airbox ).  Was going through nistune, found a pretty nifty doc on this. Nistune MAF Notes. Also, i was looking through the bay, and there seems to be a tube/line connected from the A/C to the intercooler piping ( Between the smic and the recirc), what does this do as the crossover fmic piping doesnt have any connection? plumbing? not sure what you call it but the nipple thing ahah.  Also, been reading up more about crossover fmic in regards to the legality of having the hole drilled for the piping, this would most likely need to be engineered right?
    • My advice is if you need a big build done do it in Japan. The yen rate is so favorable and there are shops that can be genuinely trusted and not micromanaged/carefully monitored every step of the way. Garage Yoshida is obviously my preferred option but they're so busy these days and all interaction with new customers has to be mediated through BBL/Toprank now.
    • I haven't....but a poorly made one would terrify me. Surely a good second hand one is the go, as they don't work hard and no-one wants to keep one after they are finished with it A big consideration would be the weight of the shell you are putting on it....is it a fully dressed chassis or just the body
