is there a difference in extractors, im talking custom made ( the type that are blue coloured ) or stainless steel extractors? depends on where you go i guess, i couldnt get "pre-made" extractors at all for my r34 n/a so had to get custom. r33 n/a might be a bit different, if you speak to Eug, i know he organised a group buy a while back.

is there a noticeable power increase? not necessarily. i gained responsiveness not kW's

does anyone have the custom extractors? yes i do. (pics included)

whats your opinion on them? worth the money? i am extremely happy with mine, the guys at Exhaust Technology here in Adelaide were brilliant, and even took pics for me  the cost $680, and took about a day and a half from memory to do. i got many quotes exceeding $1000 and a week plus wait for them to do it in. a load of frogshite i say. it dosent really take that long. they just choose to dely the process by doing bits here and bits there.

Cheers cameron

When i got mine done (1000 i think i was for the full system)

i was on my learners (so wasn't thrashing it around) and it took the guy fairly long to do but didnt really mind as i was on Ls so i couldn't really compare power. And i havn't been on a dyno ever so havnt measured my KW's.

He had to do them custom too, he couldnt find anything from his suppliers that would fit so he decided to make em custom and he took a few shots for me and even lent me his camera to put em on my computer, great guy (Jay, from Hillside Exhausts in furntree gully) i recommend going there for anyone around the area good products and good prices and a friendly service. Nice little workshop he has there too.

ill post up a couple of pics in a sec

the welding on those extractors looks neat.

i don't like the look of the collectors though, a quick look at where the pipes branch into 1 looks like it might be a spot for a bit of turbulence.

will agree with heat wrapping/hp coating.

Has anyone gotten their headers made from titanium?

Anyone care to hazard a guess at the weight saving?

And with heat wrapping.. is there a special technique? or just wrap and use a hose clamp to tie off the ends?

cheers boys and girls :D
