worst thing is i didnt tell anyone i was getting a new card. So its either an insider job, or someone raided the mail and got VERY lucky.

There is no way they got it without a PIN though, so they found it out somehow as i certainly didnt give it to anyone

How did u loose ur old atm card?

AND

Are you listed in the telephone book?

If your card was stolen/lost it wouldnt be hard to look up ur address; then its a matter of playing the waiting game and going through ur mailbox after the posty visits to gather the card, pin, additional mail with detials whilst u sit back wondering whats taking so long for ur card to arrive.

....not that i would know anything about that kind of thing.

Im 110% not coming for b'day festivities tonight Rod as you no doubt can tell... i want pics!

Have a good one either way mate.

My old card i have on me... but ive cancelled that aswell, not that i need it without any money

The one that went missing from the mailbox was the replacement as my card was badly worn, so i just asked for a new one to be sent early.

Im not listed in the phone book either, private number, hell i dont even know what the home phone number is here off the top of my head

But if they stole the card, the letter would have mad my name/address on it so they are already infront there.

And this just gets better.

My other netbank account, not linked to my card is clean aswell. Not that there was a lot in there.

Its showed up today that a "PHONE TRANSFER" was performed.

I mean, f**ken hell. How can someone ring up over the phone and transfer the cash. Absolute bollocks bank security if thats been allowed to occur. Load of shit!

Bank is going to absolutely cop it 9am tomorrow morning.

they should have a record of who it was transfered to then ya ?

And this just gets better.

it doesnt suprise me one bit being CBA.

if you have anything else with CBA like credit cards for example, i would close them immediately..

this guy has too much sensitive info of yours and CBA cant distinguish the difference between you and him...

Well ive got no cash in any account, so thats that for the time being.

But i'll be chatting to each bank tomorrow and seeing which one i like the sound of best. 110% not going back to the CBA after this crap.

Man this whole things messed up :) Sorry to hear mate and I hope it all gets sorted asap...

Just a thought but do you do much internet banking??? Maybe someones got a key logger running or something?

Thats it, absolute run around... im going into the branch near work in a couple hours.

They cant even tell me "how" it happened... or what questions were asked *mass anger on*

Its game on!

What more can I say than

BUGGA

And how would anyone know you had another account linked via phone to the main ATM account? Sounds like an insider to me.

If you can't get an answer from the little sub-continental person at the call centre, the simple question is: "Can I speak to someone who can tell me why it happened?"

Have they viewed the surveillance videos/photos? Have they allowed you to view these vids/pics to determine whether you know them or not?

Have you just recently pissed off someone previously close to you?

Sorry to hear of your misfortune

They wont let me see the footage/pics im told.

And it'll probably take 2-3 weeks to get a hold of it as its mainly westpac ATM withdraws

Cant say ive really p|ssed anyone off... but then that depends on your definition sometimes lol.

But seriously though, without a PIN all this is impossible... and the person tried to "change" it, so that leads me to believe they didnt know it.

So how then did they get the cash... hence it sounds like an inside style job as all of a sudden they "knew" the PIN.

sounds like they knew what they were doing and most likely not some amatures.

Probably done it before on someone else and it was unlucky that you were the next target

hope you get all of it sorted out and get your money back!

    • Yep, pretty much what you said is a good summary. The aftermarket thing just attached to the rim, then has two lines out to valve stems, one to inner wheel, one to outer wheel. Some of the systems even start to air up as you head towards highway speed. IE, you're in the logging tracks, then as speeds increase it knows you're on tarmac and airs up so the driver doesn't even have to remember. I bet the ones that need driver intervention to air up end up seeing a lot more tyre wear from "forest pressures" in use on the highway!
    • Yes, but you need to do these type certifications for tuning parts. That is the absurd part here. Meaning tuning parts are very costly (generally speaking) as well as the technical test documentation for say a turbo swap with more power. It just makes modifying everything crazy expensive and complicated. That bracket has been lost in translation many years ago I assume, it was not there.
    • Hahaha, yeah.... not what you'd call a tamper-proof design.... but yes, with the truck setup, the lines are always connected, but typically they sit just inside the plane of the rear metal mudguards, so if you clear the guards you clear the lines as well. Not rogue 4WD tracks with tree branches and bushes everywhere, ready to hook-up an air hose. You can do it externally like a mod, but dedicated setups air-pressurize the undriven hubs, and on driven axles you can do the same thing, or pressurize the axles (lots of designs out there for this idea)... https://www.trtaustralia.com.au/traction-air-cti-system/  for example.... ..the trouble I've got here... wrt the bimmer ad... is the last bit...they don't want to show it spinning, do they.... give all the illusion that things are moving...but no...and what the hell tyre profile is that?...25??? ...far kernel, rims would be dead inside 10klms on most roads around here.... 😃
    • You're just describing how type certification works. Personally I would be shocked to discover that catalytic converter is not in the stock mounting position. Is there a bracket on the transfer case holding the catalytic converter and front pipe together? If so, it should be in stock position.
    • You talking about the ones in the photo above? I guess that could make sense. Fixed (but flexible) line from the point up above down to the hubcap thingo, with a rotating air seal thingo. Then fixed (but also still likely flexible) line from the "other side" of the transfer in the hub cap thingo up to the valve stem on the rim. A horrible cludge, but something that could be done. I'd bet on the Unimog version being fed through from the back, as part of the axle assembly, without the need for the vulnerable lines out to the sides. It's amazing what you can do when you have an idea that is not quite impossible. Nearly impossible, but not quite.
