I recently bought a adjustable HKS actuator and am lead to believe I can get my boost as low as 5psi with it.

I fitted it and screwed the shaft until it was just holding the wastegate shut, no spring tension at all just held the gate shut and fitted the eyelet over the wastegate mount.

I turn the boost controller OFF went for a run and it boosted to 15psi.

I then turned screwed the rod out until it would only reach about 6psi, but now it is SUPER laggy cos the gate is open a bit even off boost.

I would assume that having the gate shut is the idea to get quick spoolup, but then it overboosts

Screw it out and its a dog.......WHAT DO I DO?

BTW.....Stock S2 R33 with a few bolt on mods, Emanage not yet fitted!

im guessing it is not designed for that, after all they are sold assuming ppl would want to up the boost not lower it.

When I bought it I was told it was adjustable from about 5psi upwards...thats why I bought it!!

What else can I do but ask questions on a dedicated skyline forum and decide from there what to do from there, not like I can go to Autobarn and get an educated answer.

WOrp3D....How you suggest I control my boost, Your quick to stereotype me, How about something constructive. I have ProfecBs2, With it turned off as I said before it boosts to 14psi, Too high for stock turbo IMO.

I can get it to hold lower boost but It laggs too much as I said before.

5psi seems very low, have you tried adjusting it in small increments at a time and testing it each time instead of just all the way in and all the way out?

And my second comment was not stereo typing you, it was part truth, sales people will tell you what you want to hear to get you to buy something, thats why we have these forums, find out who else owns one and see what it can actually do and how well it does it, as you said it will go down to 5psi but its a dog, but it was mainly a joke.

Only suggestion i can offer is to adjust it in small increments and test each time, as zennon said, will sit on 9-10 psi easily and that would be a safe boost level.
