Hey,

I'm in the process of installing my guages on my R33 GTST. I have installed the boost and water temp but I'm not too sure where the oil temp one goes.

The oil temp guage is the sort of one where you don't need to run an oil line through the car (stuff that!).

Any info would be great, thanks.

Remove the oil filter from your engine, screw this sandwich plate onto the engine and then put the filter back on.

Gives you 2 or 3 places to put in sensors. Im oil temp and oil pressure guages off mine

Awesome as - thanks heaps ;)

i got a sandwich plate like the one in the pic above but when screwing it in the main centre bolt(big one) its not long so it only screws in 1 thread to the block so its not really secure? anyone else have that problem?

you need to get a thread adaptor thing to make it longer.

heres the link to it from silvia nsw.

www.mscn.com.au

turns out the length of the bolt on my housing was standard. i went to SSS and got another one and its the same length.

seems to me that the justjap centre nipple is designed to only screw on for 1.5 to 2 turns (which doesnt seem safe to me).

so i paid a visit to Motorsport Connections where they provided me with the same thread size nipple but longer so it bolts onto the housing safely.

only thing to note is that the thickness of the nipple has to be machined down on a lathe to the same thickness as the JustJap one to fit into the sandwich plate.

im at work so i cant link up the pictures.
