Sounds like the factory fuel dump, all stock computers will have this, ease the throttle slowly.

Slow gear changes are fixed with a shift kit.

What's the go with the flutter on this video? Is this just because that part of the intake pipe was removed?

nah thats the examination panel for the air filter. just a cover on it sits there loosely.

and in answer to your other question ..definately not..thats a aftermarket bov on that thing... no turbo flutter on my vq although i wouldnt mind it ;D

Also done some reading up on the NM35's (neo based autos) and they do have a similar setup driveline wise to a GTR ,

A site mentioned something to this effect ..

1. sports mode - puts enough traction to the front to stop the rear from losing traction (80-20~)

2. syncro mode - 50-50 equally front and rear percentage

3. snow mode - hydrolic/hicas sensitive for launch control so theres no wheel spin (even with your foot flat wont deliver power to rear diff until youve taken off).

that is flutter, lol. and the reason they uploaded the video with the examination panel off - makes it more audible

Non standard BOV creates the flutter.... but be warned it is a sure way to attract the attention of the police and nice little fine.

Is that state specific ?

Like i see alot of r32's,33's 180's 200's, and s15's around with aftermarket bov's that are clearly audible in QLD.

Do the same rules apply across aus ?

Do you know where you can buy the power duct from? I assume the price you quoted is from Nissan spare parts with which part number?

It is the same air box as used on the V35 that has a "power duct" fitted in this spot for the NA motor.

Many M35 owners have opened this spot up. Some have been to Nissan for the "power duct" ($180) and other have made their own way of sealing the box from hot air from the motor.

Ahh, thats half an airbox, not bad but not a power duct.

I wouldn't waste your money, just use some foam to seal around the hole...

You wouldnt have happened to see any pics of these would you? Ive never noticed anyones air filter looking remarkably different to what Ive got in mine (Even though Ive heard people go on about these 'power ducts'). A visual comparison may be in order

there is a blank piece that goes in all the other models. remove blank, insert vent.

Would it actually add any additional air flow? Im sure you could pull a nissan part number for it from FAST if you were after it, but it just looks to be a beveled edge on the inspection hole
