yeh radiator.

no thats for a G35 auto. you can run an external trans into the loop with the in built trans. hence no need for a thermostat, as the radiator will warm up the oil and keep it at running temp a lot quicker than an isolated trans cooler.

im getting Race Radiators to make mine custome. 3 way pass, in built trans cooler. and holds about 2 litres more.

will be ditching the trans cooler if this one seems good enough.

How much for the custom job?

install it yourself. its not that hard

scott? lol yeh will probably have too.

Even still, it's not a bad price if you don't want an external oil cooler.

Actually one of these might fit a bit tidier in the engine bay: http://www.makcotran...m/708-4739.html

yh it isnt. but a mishimoto one will cost you 400 delivered.

I couldn't find any with the trans sooler. They all said "Suit Auto" but then you'd ask them if they had the trans cooler and they'd say that they dont.

yeh i didnt go to the extent of pm'ing them so you may be right

theres nothing wrong with having the bottom tank cut and have the trans cooler loop installed in one that doesnt have it from the factory. any radiator place should be able to do it

this is true, but for the total cost of getting theradiator, plus a tank installed you may aswell get a custom one.

if you guys are interested in radiators from RaceRadiators, I can get them to keep the design when they do mine? perhaps they'll deliver.

Yeah I'm interested in the Race Radiators thing, keep us posted. $700 isn't bad if the Koyo is going to cost Jase $600.

That said I'll probably still run past Tonkins and see what they say though.

when cam comes on he'll be able to tell you all about it. he already has one!

What about running a small cooler such as:

or

http://www.ebay.com....=item19b30e6035

and just plumbing it before the radiator as previously suggested?

What size cooler are you guys running and where do you put it?

im running a PWR one for a Ford V8. imo those coolers are too small' and to be honest, i dont think the fluid will spend enough time in the cooler to physically cool.

    • Well, I'm not clicking on a link to f**king bookface (never have, never will), so I can't really know what the complaint here is about, but.... There's nothing particularly wrong with forcing people to have a higher license category to drive super/hypercars. Note that the laws are not about modified cars - only listed standard cars, because there are not supposed to be cars modified enough to meet the law's category limits anyway. If you have a modified car that falls into those power limits you're already in trouble anyway. What is wrong is the bullshit on-line "test" to get the upgrade, instead of any actual work and training.
    • Meh Don't have Facebook anymore but watched a YouTube about it, they also talked about them not being able to use and "sports" modes, not really sure how they would enforce that apart from logging the Db for the cars that have exhaust valve activation in sports mode Apart from all the high end sports cars and supercars that make the sort of power they are talking about standard, I cannot see it bothering anyone else, unless of course road side tests now include having a dyno and scales on site to test the power output vs weight What is it? 500hp per ton? And if the only additional cost is $60 or so, as the video stated, I cannot see that being a war stopper for the people that outlay a few hundred thousand dollars on a performance car In fact, I see it would be a ego boost for some, because they have a "special" drivers licence for a "special"person with a "special" car And if I did have a modified car that made over the limit, there's no way in hell I would apply for a "special" licence, I could see the authorities checking your licence against your rego, so if old mate applied for a licence, but owns a, say, R33 Skyline, that may trigger an inspection of said car as to why, and how, that old mate has a R33 that would fit the bill of making over 500hp per ton Again, meh, not something I believe will be a real issue to 99.9% of people

    • Hi, I'm a new member who has been lurking for a while. Ive been looking to buy an R32, 33 or 34. GTT/GTST for some time now. I'm close to pulling the pin on one,. My question is around roadworthy certificates in Victoria. What can you get away with as far as mods go?  Would a car pass RWC with a haltech dash, aftermarket manifold and high mount turbo as long as ride height and noise was ok? I come from a muscle car background, I'm learning more about our beloved Skylines as I go. I don't want to drop my savings on something to find out I need thousands to get it on the road. Cheers for any input/advice.
    • The first year I did Putty Road I was driving the old Honda Jazz work car. Being the rear vehicle of the 2nd or 3rd group to make sure no one got lost. The GTRs in front couldn't work out how I "was with them in the twisties"... They didn't like it when they found out I was only cruising and chilling in the Jazz like it was a Sunday drive with my Nan in the car.
