bigkevracer
yeh radiator. no thats for a G35 auto. you can run an external trans into the loop with the in built trans. hence no need for a thermostat, as the radiator will warm up the oil and keep it at running temp a lot quicker than an isolated trans cooler. im getting Race Radiators to make mine custome. 3 way pass, in built trans cooler. and holds about 2 litres more. will be ditching the trans cooler if this one seems good enough. How much for the custom job? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/185569-m35-info/page/68/#findComment-5972724 Share on other sites
Sunkist
$700 installed. which is pretty good imo Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/185569-m35-info/page/68/#findComment-5972735 Share on other sites
jasevr4
Pretty good is just about the understatement of the year. I suspect by the time I'm done with my Koyo and external oil filter I'll be up around the $600 mark doing the work myself. jasevr4
Even still, it's not a bad price if you don't want an external oil cooler. Actually one of these might fit a bit tidier in the engine bay: http://www.makcotransmissionparts.com/708-4739.html Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/185569-m35-info/page/68/#findComment-5972835 Share on other sites

jasevr4
yh it isnt. but a mishimoto one will cost you 400 delivered. I couldn't find any with the trans sooler. They all said "Suit Auto" but then you'd ask them if they had the trans cooler and they'd say that they dont. zei20l
theres nothing wrong with having the bottom tank cut and have the trans cooler loop installed in one that doesnt have it from the factory. any radiator place should be able to do it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/185569-m35-info/page/68/#findComment-5972869 Share on other sites

bigkevracer
Yeah I'm interested in the Race Radiators thing, keep us posted. $700 isn't bad if the Koyo is going to cost Jase $600. That said I'll probably still run past Tonkins and see what they say though. wht510
What about running a small cooler such as: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Oil-cooler-suit-auto-transmission-power-steering-/260834396509?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cbaf1095d or http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Al-Transmission-Engine-Oil-Cooler-10-row-Hi-Performance-/110378246197?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19b30e6035 and just plumbing it before the radiator as previously suggested? What size cooler are you guys running and where do you put it?
