Probably not. Says "Owners Manual" not "Service manual". I'd have to have a look at whats in it before I'm prepared to buy one. I'm not sure I even need an owners manual.

Yep, original request to those guys was the full workshop manual back in 2008 (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/232599-translated-workshop-manual-m35-c34/ )

Also, it states for 2001-2007 Stagea, but no mention of VQ35de? WTF?

I know the answer is here but I can't find it in a rush.

Attessa system fluid - same as the transmission?

Glad I'm not the only one that struggles to find anything.

90 pages of 'info' is more like 'comment on stuff about the M35.'

:rolleyes::ph34r:

To those who've rewired their fuel pump, where did you run the wiring from the battery into the cabin?

I was looking at it today and thinking the easiest way would be to drill a hole in the side of the duct where the cabin air filter is, and put a rubber grommet in. Most obvious place anyway...

Just slide it throug the main wiring grommet, behind the battery, then down the passenger side and along the back seat.

I've got so much stuff going thru there that I've left a permanent draw wire.

Thinking about how I'm getting the Fcon tuned, and more and more I'm thinking I should just go 98 for now. E85 isn't plentiful enough, 98 would just be easier.

If I go that way, I'm already changing the fuel pump and filter, and I've got the wideband.

Would I still need to change the injectors and/or fit a FPR for a 98 tune running the standard turbo?

I can't see you needing bigger injectors with the stock turbo. From what it seems, if you run ~20psi on stock turbo it will die quick ish.

If you tune with the stock boost (allowing extra 1-2psi for exhaust upgrade) it would need the rich factory set AFR leaned out a tad so the injectors should be fine.

^^^ what Paul said.

As soon as you go the full hog on you intake pipe you will have a top end lean problem with standard injectors & fuel pump. Andy got good results (AFRs richened up nicely) just by changing the fuel pump. My injectors are providing enough fuel just by changing fuel pressure regulator (stock pump). So if you planned to do either of those, & you've already got the pump, then you'll be fine.

I'm of the belief that our standard injectors can be sufficient up to maybe 250kw or more), given a bit of extra pressure to increase the flow. Check out 'injectors online' to see what sizes are used in various factory applications. eg according to that website, Gen III 5.7lt motor uses 260cc, XR6 (including turbo) use 295cc. M35s are 370cc, & when given extra pressure (there's a formula around somewhere) they can flow in the vicinity of 440cc/min.

I would agree with you on the injectors Leon as even at 18PSI with my car my Wideband never gets over 10.8 unless under load going up a hill then is gets to 11.1. However the AFM is well and truly maxed giving readings of 5+...and I know my duty cycle is over 95% at times....I have also seen 100% quite a bit......I can live with that on the street as I am hardly ever up it.

However I would never track it without bigger injectors and the AFM clamped.

P.S. I think its awesome how the car has worked out its tune with the extra pressure at 14v with the Walbro on mine....it would be very interesting to try a set of 440cc injectors in the car with the standard fuel pump to see if/how it runs.

Well that's kind of my plan. Do pump and get tune with MAP sensor.

Will that cause an issue if I do some track work?

    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
    • Quite right, if you make it to that pension you deserve every cent
    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
    • From memory, on the R33 GTSt at least, while everyone says "It's not adjustable", I found when I changed clutches in mine, it just needed a small adjustment on the rod length. But be very wary here, as you could end up trying to push the pushrod in the master too far, or blowing out the slave.   Most likely though, if the master/slave isn't bypassing internally or leaking out, then the throw out is the wrong height compared to the fingers on the clutch, so when it moves to disengage the clutch, it isn't 100% disengaged. You can check part of this out too by jacking the car up, having the engine running, put your foot on the clutch and try to engage 1st gear. If it goes in pretty easy (Compared to the ground) and/or the wheels start turning a fair bit and it takes a bit too much brake pedal to bring them back to a stop, this is likely the issue.  I'm not sure if you can adjust the height of the forks etc in these though, it's been that long since I've touched any RB gearbox.
    • That's all good, I thought I was missing some interesting feature! Maybe @PranK can double check if that is something that is meant to be operating or not.
