Removing Knock Sensor Plug

Ok people, how do I remove the plug on the knock sensor without busting it?? I've tried pressing it top and bottom, both sides, rocking it up down left right etc etc you get the idea, but the b1tch wont come off. It's the only sensor I have still left connected on the intake side engine loom

That's NOT the knock sensor, from what I can see (pic is all "furry"). Looks more like the VCT solenoid.

You need to remove the "U" pin (closest to the actual solenoid) and the plug will "fall off".

lol yeh mate that's the vct solenoid. and as blink-elk said, theres a metal retaining lock on the cap that u have to remove, then it'll jsut slide off

Haha, same as an injector, use a fine metal pick, and try and make sure it doesn't *twang* off into existance

oh and the knock sensors don't undo from their loom, they are attached
