Hey dyken,

I got canaried last week (pop-tart) and had to get a full RWC to get it cleared. Anyway, my front pads were due for replacement, yet there was no listing in the Bendix catalogue for them at all. Ended up taking it to my mechanics who rang their brake supplier, got replacement pads, apparently for a Maxima.

Anyway, they fitted perfectly, got the defect cleared and all good!

awesome lol. i have pads which are useless to me

Bendix didn't have what I needed... mechanic's brake supplier recommended MaxiStop DB8382's... fit perfectly... mechanic reckons they'll be fine (though apparently a relatively soft pad so probably wont last forever... better than chewing out the rotor though!) for my usage (predominantly a daily-driver with the occasional bit of 'spirited' driving :nyaanyaa:

any idea on how to tell if they are the maxima caliper

because i have been given the wrong pads also and now

i have to take the old ones in to match up?

also anyone know the part number to the maxima pads?

hey people,

Just changed my brake pads today on my R33.

And i purchased my pads from Autobahn and got Brakes Plus to fit them. Autobahn was a shit load cheaper than any other place, i paid $120 for all 4 pads.

Anyways back to the dilemma, i also purchased the bendix DB1165CT pads and took them to the guy fitting them. We compared the old and new pads and the new ones were alot smaller. So we found out that the right pads were the DB 1308.

We looked at the Bendix book and it had Db1165CT for non-turbo R33, i think they have the wrong information hence why alot of people have been given wrong pads.

So for other people that are looking at changing their pads on their NA R33, the right part numbers are DB1144 and DB1308

I also suggest shopping around for pads, Repco qouted me $160 for front and rear, Brakes Plus $120 just for the DB1308, but Autobahn was the way to go, $120 for both front and rear, including refunding the

DB 1165 to DB 1308 without questions.
