before I bought my DSLR, I used the canon power shots a fair bit.. I always thought they were a great little point and shoot camera..

I also have some other Sony thing that I never had any dramas with.. forget the model of it though.

If you are just looking for a point and shoot camera, you cant realy go to wrong.

Canon for sure with yer point and shooters...

the A series is good for someone who likes a bit of manual control

and the IXUS are quite good also, I've had both. Current point and shoot is an IXUS60 I think they're sub $300 now.

Great little camera, many many people have been impressed by the photos it takes.

I had an old A70 as well, very tough great for every-day stuff! till some mug in Melbourne nicked it while I was out on the track!

can get them alot bigger now tho, I got the A70 in 2002.
