Hey guys and gals, just got a FMIC kit for my car a few weeks back and am planning to install it either this weekend or next. I want to know however, anyone out there done one of these before and want to give me a helping hand? I'm gonna need to cut under the washer bottle and would rather a keen eye from someone who's done it before just in case  Of course they will be well looked after with food/beers/etc and maybe even some folding stuff (read: cash)

Anyone interested?

I would help Luke, but am flat out this weekend, and if Port win tomorrow's game, will be in Melbourne all next weekend for the Grand Final. I am probably available the weekend after though. Duc is the expert in these matters and doesn't live too far from you - maybe fire him a PM.

Yeah was gonna give it a go myself but the only thing I'm weary of is cutting underneath the washer bottle. If it was a direct replacement, no worries. But, since there are so many helpful peeps here on SAU I thought I might ask for a bit of help

Yeah sorry we are off to the Grand Final this weekend Luke - otherwise I would come help you for sure. I also have the appropriate size holesaw if you want to borrow it mate. Really isn't a hard job - you just line up by eye where you think the hole should go. In the end the silicone joiners give you tons of latitude to get it wrong and it won't matter as long as you are kinda close. You might have to shave your engine fan if the pipe hits too - use a stanley knife. You WILL need to trim the inside of your front bar - we used an angle grinder (watch out for molten plastic - Duc knows what I am talking about) - but a jigsaw would be easier.

Whiplash/Nick - thanks again for helping me do mine! You were tons of help - don't sell yourself short >_<

That's cool Andrew, totally understand :domokun: As for the holesaw, I beleive Ryan who is helping me out has all the tools to complete the job but thanks for the offer. I'm sure it is piss easy but still would rather a guiding hand to help out JUST in case :P
