get your bump steer checked. it could be that you have excessive bump steer, which is altering your toe angle dramatically when you hit a bump, or have body roll when turning.

also get your steering rack mounts checked to make sure there isn't any excess movement in that.

but i put a set of cheap falkens on the missus pulsar and has worn them out in about 5000kms. admittedly it is fwd and cops a bit of a hard time, and needs a bit of a wheel alignment, but they tyres i had on before these ones lasted longer, gripped better and took more punishment than the falkens have.

Thanks y'all for the replies.

I dropped in to the suspension shop today and gave them the reports from the two Jax stores. They rechecked my alignment and got completely different settings.

It seems that the inner ball joint on the lower control arm needs replacing. It rocks ever so slightly when the wheel is turned.

Would this be consistent with inconsistent alignment figures?

Any thoughts on cost to replace?

I got prices from Nissan for my Series 2 Stagea (WC34) inner and outer ball joints for the lower control arm.

Inner ball joints (part# 40160 AR510) $112.75 ea - ex Japan 3 weeks

Outer ball joints (part # 40160 05U00) $164.65 ea - in Stock

Should I have the the outer ball joints replaced as well?

Does anyone know if there is a comparable non genuine replacement product?
