I'm definately not coming now guys. Some inconsiderate person thought they had the right to break into my house and steal my wallet and the keys to my girlfriends corolla, then take off with the corolla. Unless the cops find it tomorrow (not f$%#ing likely) I have to give my car to the missus to drive to newcastle on the weekend and I'm getting an old VL to run around in.

As soon as I find who did it I'm going to break their legs, then wait for them to heal and break them again.... I hate pricks who steal cars, especially mine.

Anywho guys, have a fun day, I enjoyed it when I last went.

This was in Bathurst at my new home. Turns out you can't trust anyone these days. They fingerprinted the doors but didn't get any good prints. I guess I'll just lodge an insurance claim and see what happens.

can someone who will be getting there early/around start time or knows a lot about the area PM me there phone number so i can convoy with you on the morning, i'll most likely be hung-over as buggery so need someone to lead me there haha

Car is looking dam nice at the moment, only had a chance to clean half the outside so im all set for tomorrow. Might even work on cleaning under the bonnet this time instead of getting an evo driver to do it for me :D

Well, car's almost done, I just need to clean the wheels and blacken the tyres and do a wee bit of metal polishing.

But I have to be at a wedding at 2, I look like shit and plus I reek to high heaven of Eau De Meguiars.

Hrm.

Fail?

Hi all

Was going to pretty my car up good for this and show it off a bit but last weekend I had a minor incident with a small roo.

Thankfully I only glanced it but that was enough to put minor cracks through the paint on the front bar in a couple of places + a small indent in the passenger side door. So really only very minor damage for a roo encounter but still bloody annoying.

So with that I decided that i'll just coma along say hello and have a perv at everyone elses car porn.

See ya tomorrow

Just so people know, heres the road where the futsal stadium is, up the end of the street. This is where the cruise starts. I'll be at John Knights park from 8am, won't be part of the cruise.

Had a great time, good to meet everyone, the spot we got was different but I think it worked out better in the end. Slightly burnt, but good day.

edit: Thanks to Mick for the Federal Tent and everyone that helped make the day what it was :teehee:

    • Nah, it's not the reduced knock margin. It is a direct mechanical effect of having to initiate the combustion earlier, while the piston is still rising, which starts to exert combustion pressure on the rising piston earlier, making the rest of the engine work harder to finish driving the piston up to TDC where the combustion pressure stops being a negative and starts being a positive. Your modern engine that only needs ~10° to make MBT doesn't waste the other 10 or so degrees of crank rotation. That's almost all of it. The difference in knock margin might go either way. Remember that modern engines to which you are currently comparing the long tractor engine (the RB) are now running super high compression, direct injection, tricky cam control and maybe even cylinder pressure sensors. You're not comparing apples with other fruit. It's apples and sea weed, or some other evolutionarily primitive vegetation. And remember, squish only really comes into play at the very end of the stroke. It certainly does good things, but it is not the biggest contributor to what's going on. It is quite possibly much less important in 4 valve head than 2 valvers also, because there is so much less squish available to a 4 valve anyway.
    • Food for thought, a longer stroke motor would need less ignition timing vs. a shorter stroke motor requiring more ignition timing.
    • Thanks Duncan, HART is only 10 mins from me (I did my bike license there), it'd be awesome if it ran these types of things.  Sutton Road does look good and they take fewer cars than SMSP which is good.  Surely you have enough land to lay a few million tonnes of concrete and some sprinklers D?
    • I thought an engine that needs more ignition timing to make power is going to result in less power due to reduced knock margin? More time for the combustion to propagate -> more time for it to heat up the rest of the mix to detonation.
